I have read that the R/T is a better buy for your money over the SRT. What are the differences in between these two models SRT and R/T? 0-60 times, 1/4 times, braking distances, top end speed or any other differences between these to cars like which one will ride more comfortable and isolate you from bad roads and streets ?:thanks:opcorn:
SRT wins in every category......except mileage. But who buys a muscle car for gas mileage.... I didn't!
I've read reviews. The SRT does outperform the R/T in all category's. It might not be by a whole lot in some cases, but it does. For the average joe, the R/T might be a better buy, but if you are really into cars and performance, the SRT is the only way to fly.
Is there really a big difference in gas mileage between the SRT and R/T? Anyone know the performance specs on both of these cars?
I see that taking it to the limit so if one is more conservative maybe more. This is for an SRT right? Mustang has the 32 valve engine, Camaro has the Corvette engine a push rod engine as well as Challenger. Mustang has the more advance engine but the most primitive suspension live axle rear end. Challenger has a much better riding suspension.
Yes, 392. I could do better if I changed my driving habits. That ain't gonna happen, I love my Challenger too much to go easy on it.
It's good as a daily driver? Comfortable riding? Don't have problems scratching on parking curbs or driveways like low profile cars? Is it a durable car?
My SRT was a daily driver the first two years I had it and it did well. I've had no major issues with it at all. The SRT handles better, is a bit lower, has more power and the SRT seats are super comfortable. A stock height SRT can scrape on parking lot bumpers. You just have to be careful. My car is lowered and I REALLY have to be careful. With a fully independent suspension, you'll find the ride of the Challenger more comfortable than a live axle car. The R/T is rated at 370 HP, the SRT 470 HP. The R/T is rated at 25 MPG Highway, the SRT is rated at 23 MPG Highway. Mileage varies based on ambient conditions and driving habits.
As long as it's better than the stock Corvette which is low and scrapes driveways, parking curbs, potholes.
On the first pic the driver side rear wheel you can see one of those cement barriers in the parking space. If you drive a Corvette straight in you can take out your front plate and radiator support/radiator by that.
The one feature the SRT has over the RT is that dampening suspension system. I can feel the difference when driving on bumpy roads.
I was amazed at the difference between how the RT Challenger handled compared to the SRT on the Auto course at VIR track event last year....RT was so loose...
