So been doing some reading on the new apache heads(6.4L) and they sound like good stuff...for bigger bore/stroke engines. but as far as slapping them on a stock cube 6.1...not so much due to PTV clearlance, and that im running the SRT MAX cam. so... being that ive seen what stock cube'd 6.1's can do, would it be best to invest 2g's in some nice ported heads, or just consider a stroker build (keep in mind my motor has 131k on it, thats why im thinking a stroker build might not be such of a bad gig)
with that many miles on the motor......do the stroker. you will end up cheaper in the long run from a labor standpoint (unless you do all your own wrenching)
He´s running a Prochargersetup that works really well... I´m on a Vortech and not at all as well set up or fast as he is but really pleased non the less! Fredrik:baby:
I saw Nick selling his Arrington 440 short block with cam on LXF for a smoking good deal. With as many miles as you have, a stroker build would be wise. Build for boost, and add that later.
