After getting pulled over by the same state trooper twice in a span of 3 weeks and getting rear ended last week I am ready to trade in my SRT. [IMG]

Why were you pulled over 2 times?

Long story short. First time was for tail lights being tinted and second was for 70 in a 55 paced not radar or laser. I had cruise control set to 65.

Sooooo both citations were your fault...

I've been pulled over many times, but never once have I ever considered selling my car. Even when I moved to SoCal and received a tinted tails ticket within the first week of living here. Instead, I corrected the tails.

Speeding, well ever ticket I have received for speeding I have deserved except two. I fought both of them. I am 1 - 1. haha

Even though he paced you at 70, in your own admission, you were still speeding.

    Just saying Paul.

The first time he pulled me over in an unmarked Malibu with his emergency lights off. The Malibu was totally stealth with tinted windows and a normal lic plate . I was heading to the store with my wife and daughter on a 35 MPH village road. As I was approaching he starting to pull out into traffic, crossing the solid white line and causing me to swerve to avoid hitting him. As soon as I passed he pulled out and turned on his lights. We had a bit of a heated conversation since I was none to thrilled that he had cut me off. He would only admit to seeing me swerve "a foot" and then wrote me a ticketed for defective brake lights. He put my family as well as other motorists in danger with his actions. He wrote me a ticket for defective brake lights.

I put in a report with his CO complaining about the issue.

3 weeks later the same Trooper pulled me over again. He claims he paced me at 70 MPH in a 55. I had my cruise control set to 65 and other cars were passing me at the time. He wrote me a second ticket in 3 weeks.

The second time was 20 miles away in a different county. Just prior to his lights coming on I was passed by cars on either side, so I was by no means the fastest car on the road.

I fought the ticket for the lights 2 weeks ago and won. I go to court again a week from Tues for the speeding ticket....

I have received more than my fair share of tickets and haven't fought one in at least 15 years. It just seems as though this trooper has an axe to grind...

I left out that the person who rear ended me was my wife. I stopped at a light and she was looking at her cell phone. The good news is we were leaving an ultra sound appt and I'm going to be a dad again. Bad news is we have 15K in damage to both cars and our insurance is most likely going to drop us. $2k in deductibles...

Not to hijack your thread but I´ve been "forced" to sell a car, in my (much) younger years I had a Alfa Romeo 75 with the 3.0 engine, some mods done to the chassie and minor tweaks to the engine.
Anyway, had a friend in the car and when I was 20 years old I didn´t allways make the smartest decisions. He asked me if it could move and I said "Hell yeah!" And gunned it, 35 mph zone, they later told me I was doing 108...
I didn´t stop, but everytime I drove the car after that I was pulled over, if they couldn´t give me a ticket they just told me that they knew who I was and that they were looking at me...
Ended up selling the car and getting my racecar instead!:magic:

I'd be considering revoking wifey's cellphone privileges before dumping the Jeep. If my shifter's not in Park, I'm not touching my phone.

Dang Paul....string of bad luck....those VA troopers can be @@@....not all but I have a friend who is a trooper in the Richmond area...he says they really push enforcement....living 15 minutes from the TN/VA state line I know lot of people that have had run ins with VA troopers....I remember back when the national speed limit was 55 I knew several who got tickets for driving 56 mph......again not bashing troopers..they have a job to do..

But the news of the child on the way out weighs all the bad....congrats.....now get that trading poop out of your head and go hug your kid's mother...:flowers:
