So I am employed for at least through mid-December in a contract Data Analyst job in San Jose. 40 hrs a week, and I can add Data Analyst and extensive work with excel and Salesforce to my resume. So at least thru the end of the year, its all good, but I'll start looking for other jobs in mid-November, so hopefully I'm not hanging as long. Then again, maybe I can work my way into a longer term contract OR permanent job. Either way, yay!
Whoo Hoo! Congrats! Are you doing your own contract or do they have a company that does that for them (it's easier for you that way)? Otherwise you have to keep track of your own withholding and whatnot. The other way, on paper, you're working for some management/contract company who handles your payroll and everything else.
Its through a recruiting agency, so yeah no paperwork. Since Marc has the higher paying job he gets all the credits and I'm not taking any. Yet another year of weird and complicated income to sort out on our tax returns.
Good on ya!! With a job comes experience, with experience, more jobs. Finally some closure. Don't kill yourself now. :mains:
It'a about time Girla! A job is a job is a job. AND YOU HAVE ONE! I'm happy for you, now show them how lucky they are to have found you. Les
Eh, mods will wait. When I am making enough to have a mod fund, it'll be the end-links getting upgraded.
Survived the first day, exhausted but happy. Looks like a great boss and coworkers and work I'm perfect for. Just gotta leverage the heck out of this into bigger and better things.
Today would've been my last day on the original contract. Fortunately four weeks ago, they opted to extend the term through mid-March. After the VP of Sales thanked me personally for my database/reporting work today, I think I might get another extension in a few months.
