My wife drove 50 miles to see the amount of water the Flaming Gorge Dam was letting loose and took this picture with her cell phone on the way back. It was oddly stormy in pockets at the time. I was amazed at it...totally beautiful.
More pics...the water is at least 30 yards up from where it usually runs. A day out with the family Daughter doing what daughters do: Good thing this wasn't a little rattlesnake as I grabbed it out of the water without knowing exactly what it was...a dozen beers will do that to ya... He had enough...lol I ended up walking out a football field or so and only got up to my neck...weird currents out there as I kept feeling warm water then super cold water move across my body. There were dudes catching trout as well as carp down the beach for hours. Did I mention I had a dozen beers? Definitely a cool area to explore
Just keep that darn snake away from me, its my big fobia in life, don´t care if I know they´re not dangerous, I scream like a little girl and run away... I´d prefer to get a gun pointed at me as long as the person with the gun is not hopped up on drugs! Fredrik
Beatiful pictures Jon....Still got to make that western trip someday...been put on hold till things settle...
haha that warm water was the fisherman's peepee... Looks like you guys had a BLAST. I think I know which picture Maureen will favor? haha
Lol...ya, I don't usually mess with the local wildlife but the snake took off in the water so I flung it way up on shore then went up to see what it was. I deserved to get bit...lol. My house is all yours Larry... Lol... LOL...Krista said the same thing..."Maureen would love these little blue dragonflies" !!!
