http://www.insideline.com/dodge/cha...lenger-srt8-vs-2011-bmw-1-series-m-coupe.html Good read and most all the points I attempted to make with Momo about such comparisons.
I think Jason listened to you Tam. Although he has a wandering eye, he always reverts back to the Challenger. I think he's waiting for next years model.
Eh, I dunno, its probably more of a tribute to Jason that others actually have the same line of thought - SRT vs. Bimmer. Ah well. Not like I can afford to give a crap which is better right now anyway. I mean, I know which one I'd get if I could...
what is really funny to me is that reading through the comments, you would think that the stig and his whole address book were commenting on that article. "OH I COULD NEVER DEAL WITH THAT THING ROLLING IN THE CORNERS". I doubt very highly that 99% of people would actively notice "body roll" in daily driving. Its like people complaining about under steer or over steer who have never been to a track
Yeah, I didn't notice the body roll in my Charger until my first time at Willow Springs and was wondering why Ozzie was lapping me in the Magnum. Now I don't know how I'd live without it. If you're used to smaller cars, you're inclined to think that larger vehicles are harder to keep under control in the turns, but hello, its not the 70s anymore. Even before I upgraded the swaybars, I could do a rolling 45 mph u-turn no problem. The SRTs handle like they're on rails for everyday driving / mild hijinx.
I had a guy i know looking for a new car. He said he didn't want to buy one of the cars suggested to him cause in its reviews it said it understeers in hard cornering. When I asked him if he knew what understeer even was, he just looked at me lol.
Can't believe dodge is still putting 245 or 255 tires on these things. It's a $50K car for cryin out loud! At least toss some 275s on there!
