Yup, it is true. http://www.pe.com/localnews/inland/stories/PE_News_Local_D_parrots25.3c4d619.html Yesterday I thought I was hearing and seeing things when three parrots went flying by (and squawking). Not more than an hour ago, I hear the same squawking and peered out the livingroom window to see not three, but at least SIX wild parrots buzzing around the neighborhood. This led me to research a little bit (see link above). I think it is cool as shit to have wild parrots in the metropolis. Reminds me of my time in Panama. Just thought I would share.
Got a nine count now. And apparently they have taken over a couple of Eucalyptus Trees about 200 feet from the backyard. Man, this is really cool. Now, how to catch them? hehe
They are probably too wild now to tame. Unless you could find a nest. Don't ypu know how to catch a bird?.....pour salt on its tail. But, it is a Parrot.......... so all it takes is a cracker. Oh, and the one named Polly. ...
haha, we used to have a flock of 6 or 8 that used to come around. Seemed like for a few years for a couple of weeks each year. Don't see them anymore. These were the green ones like in the picture but about twice that size. These suckers were huge (fat? they were a bit rounder too). and yes, they were loud.
ofcourse there are parrots, you're in socal baby. lol Park your car under the tree and start it a few times. I am sure the fumes will make them pass out and they will fall out of the tree. hahahahahahahahahahhahahhahaha
Have you seen those parrots from Calif. on America's got talent, they were speaking perfect, def. caught my attention
Our parrots in CA are quite diverse due to the integration of multiple species... they were actually Mexican sea gulls..
