Since July of 2005 I have traded 5 times....

Bought this RT in July of 2005.

Traded the RT in Nov 05 for this 06 SRT8....Favorate car of all the vehicles I have ever owned (50 some since 1972)...

Traded the SRT8 in July 07 for this 2006 SRT10...badazz truck...

Traded the SRT10 in Jan 2011 for this 2000 C5 Vette...nice car but.....

Just a few days ago I traded the Vette. I had actually been looking for an SRT vehicle since March. I had set my eyes on a Jeep and came close to buying one but changed my mind....I kept ignoring the Charger because I had already owned one....but everytime I looked at a picture on the forum of Chase's and Legmaker's cars I would think back to that "favorate" car of all.

Three weeks ago I spied one sitting on a Hyundai dealer's lot....talk about out of place..LOL..........I called my buddy that is a buyer for a Chrysler dealership that is owned by the same family as the Hyundai dealership. He makes some calls and I get to drive the car for 4 days to make sure I like it....

The previous owner must have been anal as this car looked like it had been well taken care of. It was not a garage queen but spent a lot of time out of the weather. Paint looks new and the interior still smells of leather.

Car has a few bolt ons...American Racing long tubes and a K&N CAI (Legmaker will fix this) and I was told something to make it shift smoother?..

I am back in a Hemi once again...2007 Charger SRT8...

    Nice car man.
Now you have to play "mod catch-up".....

426 is a nice choice..... for a baseline.
If money is an issue. There is nothing wrong with a forged 6.1, but I think the 392 is about to get very reasonable. Just add boost.

For a DD, i'de do forged pistons only (6.1) and add 10-12 PSI of boost, with a centrifugal SC of your choice, stock or street cam, and a good tune. 3200 converter, and catless mids and stock exhaust. Should be a mid 11 second street car and a ton of reliable fun to drive.

    Thanks...yeah, mod catch-up..:dumb:

Kyle, I think I am going to stay NA this round...the truck was a blast with the twin screw but I want a stock looking engine bay with all the bad stuff hid inside the engine..;)....the 426 should also be reliable and capable of high 11s with the right cam and other goodies...

That's also a good route, just more expensive. When I buy my wife our next SRT, i will probably do that also. I like the K.I.S.S. approach.
