There's a guy on LXF whose 300C SRT8 has 368000 miles... yeah you read that right. He drives it everywhere, uses it for work, for towing boats and everything in between. DRIVE IT!
Yeah, driving an SRT has just about soured me on driving anything else. And its just too easy to find excuses for driving it. Since mine's the biggest of our two cars and has a lot better handling, I always drive to family functions, San Francisco, the peninsula or way out in the Central Valley and even though it makes me want to take a nap on the couch when we get whereever, I wouldn't trade driving for anything.
Just hit 25k this weekend. Still just a baby, but I'd like to keep the miles down even more if I could.
These cars hold up very well. Being that my SRT had 84000 miles on it when I got it, I don't care about the miles I rack up in it. When the engine needs a re-fresh, I'll just start over with a new block or maybe a stroker. At 87k, it is plenty powerful as you all know. Man, taking highway on-ramps is almost the highlight of every day. It's almost surprising how quick these cars are, since they feel so huge from the driver's seat.
Noted.....I shall continue  I'm with you on that one. Whenever the wife and I go anywhere, whether or not the boy is in tow, we usually take the car. Usually because I have the NAV
BB2010SRT8 - 2010 SRT Charger - 10000 miles / 2000 of the miles with ProCharger P-1SC-1 with Helical gears - None
Mileage = 14,352 Pre Super Bowl Cruse with the Los Angeles Shelby Club. A 100 + miles it was a run at speed limit & some at speed + , YES, some people like going fast, some like going faster & than there are those that like to be different (I don't know how to post the pic or the link on facebook, but, our friend Manny take pictures of his speedo while driving, look up - Manny Conde-Samaniego, the first time was not good enough & can do better (at taking apicture of my speedo while driving_ We ran Castaic Lake, Lake Hughes, Lake Elizabeth & Quail Lake and lunch at The Rock Inn on Lake Elizabeth Rd., built in 1929 (this is not The Rock Store on Mulholland Dr.Hwy.) There was 13 of us; (1) '65 Shelby GT350, (2) '66 Shelby GT350's, (1) GT350 R (Clone), (1) '07 GT350, (1) '67 GT500, (1) '68 Notchback Mustang, (1) '08 Shelby GT, (1) '99 Mustang Cobra, (1) '08 VW R32, (1) Porsche Carrera 4S, (1) '06 Charger SRT8 & (1) Mangnum SRT8
Hit the 80k mile mark and waited for the engine mount to fail. Sure enough... drivers side. No way! Who??
74,000 miles ..Tranny rebuild at 43k ( I think due to first Gen Diablo tune) lots of tires, pads and rotors, nasty clunk and wobble in front end ( can't seem to find why) Still love it and engine is as strong if not stronger than new!
just rolled 130,600 miles. shes got a SRT MAX cam, 2800 stall, 180 T-stat, and currently working out some tune issues. car runs like a raped ape, cept the only problem she has is some tread issues on the rear tires.... suspension wise, need to fresh it up lol but still a decent ride. just did a brake change. when i tore the engine apart for the cam swap she looked bran new-ran some sea foam through the crankcase to clean out some journels just in case. when i dropped the tranny for the converter i changed out the filter and fluids. little messy in there but shes running crisp and hard now
Well..... It's been a little over a year since my last post in this thread..... And a little over 9000 miles. Actually.....almost 10K. My baby is right at 55K miles now. No major issues other then the cheap shift selector thingy. Left my wife stranded while I was deployed. And of course the stealership wouldn't cover it under my still valid warranty.
