I have been wanting one for a few years now and it is finally happening in the next few weeks.

Narrowed it down to a Honda CBR1000RR in either black and silver or red and black leaning towards the black and silver.

I should have my license by next monday to ride I already have my permit.

    Oh fuggin hell.....
Shit's about to get ROWDY!!!! That thing'll FOR SURE cure your need for speed. That's a WHOLE NUTTA LEVEL compared to something four wheels, a metal shell, and airbags, lol. Good luck, and I say, above all, BE CAREFUL FUCKFACE!!!! Those things are no joke, be sure to RESPECT the level of awareness it takes to ride a bike of that stature. CONGRATS bro. And I say black.......ALL THE WAY!!!!

I hopped on a Honda 1000 Interceptor once and gave her a twist. Next thing I knew I was examining clouds, birds, and whatever else was up in the sky. I owned a V65 Sabre at the time too! That thing totally surprised me...I can't imagine what those two rides 'O death would be like!

As I said its one of the few bikes I could imagine buying instead of my GSX-R 1000 -06, but beware, you are not seen in trafic, so I allways imagine that everyone is trying to kill me, on purpose!!!
Getting up to speed is really easy, stopping is a compleatly different matter.
Posting a pic of me and Ellen last wedsday.

1970 Kawasaki Mach III. Fastest production bike at the time. You could open the throttle at highway speed and the front wheel would come up. Didn't have to snap it open or lean back. I actually really thought I was going to die once and figured I'd probably die one other time.
    1) overtake car on narrow 2 lane in the twisties in the dark... was pretty much on the edge with no margin to maneuvre. Naturally someone showed up going the other way. lean more - crash, lean less - crash, change throttle or brake - crash. Lay it down or drive off the road were not options with the cars in the way.
    2) Decided to really open it up on the freeway. Developed a shimmie somewhere between 100 and 110. Backed off the throttle very gradually and it got increasingly worse. Back up to 110 and it smoothed out again... doh... After about 5 miles I screwed up enough courage to just cut the throttle completely. I must have gained about 1/2" of biceps from the isometrics.

Yeah, we have, when she reallized I´m going faster with her behind me than her boyfriend (who is a very good friend of mine) does alone I´m stuck with her. But its allright, overtaking other bikers (who think they´re fast) on the twisties is a great thrill. Its like someone pushing down their favorite road and gets overtaken by someone towing a trailer.
And one thing is for sure, I don´t take any chances, that corner runs around a field with a clera view for at least 1/2 mile.

Oh, and get the black one, black is much faster...;)

Dahahahaha... I could see Tony there. Except for the last part. No way Tony would dump it in the parking lot.
