We are working with a company on making a functional hood the style of the 1320 concept Challenger, seen here:

Just to get an idea ... who would be interested in this?? If we get 20, we'll have it made.

    Thanks,
    Lisa.

This hood will be functional, with a ram-air system built into the hood to feed air from the scoop to the air box area.

R&D is complete and production of the final hood is underway!! Our hood has a functional scoop with an optional ram air kit. You can choose to get just the hood (w/ scoop) or add the ram air kit that you can bolt to the hood. Hardware is included and the holes are all pre-drilled so it's easy. We wanted to give you the option as some of you expressed wanting the ram air, and other didn't want it.

Our first batch will be ready the end of July and I'm working up some special pricing for that batch, which I'll have ready soon.

    Here are some pics ...

We are also having one done in carbon fiber so we'll be able to show you how that one will look as well as develop pricing. I'll post up when that option is ready.

Thanks for all the great feedback on this new hood!!

The price will be $649 for the fiberglass version, and if you do not want the ram air system you can choose to remove that portion for -$40. I am not sure yet on the carbon, but will know as soon as we get one made in carbon.

If you would like to pre-order the fiberglass, you can do so here: Speedlogix Ram Air Hood 08-11 Challenger

Once the hoods start shipping, the $250 pre-order discount will go away and the retail price will be $899. We may run other specials down the road, but if you want to get in on this huge discount, make sure to get your order placed!

(We will not charge your credit card until the hood is ready to ship!! If you pay with PayPal, the funds will be sent immediately, so we prefer you use a credit card.)

    Thanks,
    Lisa.

You can also add a black chrome or chrome hood pin kit when you purchase the hood. I set up the kits at a discount and no additional shipping charge.

We don't have the hood painted and on a car yet, but when I get the first one, that will be done. I am trying to get a pic of the unpainted hood on a Challenger from our manufacturer.

The hood scoop stalks are made from fiberglass, but we are trying to change it to aluminum and should be able to get at least some of the first batch done in aluminum. If you have a preference when you order, let me know.

The hood scoop opening is 2.5" tall by 21" wide. The clearance under the hood is similar to stock but our hood has more room in the center. If you use the ram air system, you will lose some of that clearance, but I don't foresee KB and Magnacharger people using that anyway.

    Hope this helps!! :)
