Hi all, another canadian srt8 owner here. Just picked up a 2008 300 SRT8 and absolutely love it.. Black, fully loaded, 28k, by far the fastest car i have ever owned.. (im only 19 mind you:whistle I've been creeping the site for a while, mainly in jealousy lol, but now i have one of my own! It's still kinda wintery up here so pics will come in time. My first mod will definitely be a cat back exhaust, and ive been leaning towards the JBA cat-back and the corsa xtreme cat-back.. Can you guys give me pros and cons of each? Thanks! Phil
Welcome! I can't imagine anything better than the regular Corsa for our cars. Of course I bought mine 5 years ago. Since then I guess they came out with a different shaped resonator option? It's enough that you can definitely hear it at idle and regular throttle and it absolutely screams at WOT. Has a tone I'm partial to. One of the main advantages to the Corsa is absolutely no drone. None. Not at any rpm or conditions. Quality and consistent construction second to none. That would be my recommendation.
I'll echo what Dave said. When I bought my car I had Corsa's. I thought I wanted more of a muscle car rumble and got Zoomers. Five years later I realized what I was giving up.....no drone for drone....a scream at WOT for a lesser scream. I have since sold my Zoomers and went back to Corsa's.
The "no drone" is vital if youre going to use the car everyday in my world. I still have the stock system and I DO get a slight drone when cruising at 100 mph. Other than that all I can do is quote Avenged Sevenfold "-Wellcome to the family..." Fredrik:ilovesrtc:
I had a JBA catback for a while, with LTH and no cats...Sounded good, and pretty loud, although, it had somewhat of a reverberation at 2k RPM. From what I've read the Corsa Extreme is the best of all worlds...while pricey, it is the best for our application IMO. 3 Welcome to the C!
