lets see what he says......... http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140530&page=3&highlight=aces
dahahahaha, I replied over there... and almost spit out my coke when I saw my sig. hahahaha, that must have been from years ago and I'd completely forgot about it. "I got swirl efficiency" -- how appropriate
oh crap. Chris, you asked him that on his vendor thread. We're just going to get immediately deleted. Maybe we could move it to a general forum thread.
lolol Looks like you brought the nonbelievers out to play. AWESOME. I find it funny that Mr ACES hasn't replied...
I still see no one has defined what Dave asked yet. LOL I don't even care if the product has some benefit...it is the manner it is marketed that makes me want to barf...along with the lemmings that get hypnotized like a BND army. I like the idea of volumizing my intake charge for use on an 87 tune, so that the thermal coeffecient rises in relation to the injector spray pattern. If I don't have a vaporous spray pattern, it is because I don't have ACES. I need this for better volumetric efficiency and thermal conversion to work. AHHAHHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
got pm'd by a member giving me a polite "be careful", he is a popular vendor. funny thing, the person sending me the pm also tells how he tried the products and saw ZERO differences in any of his testing. lol that site just makes me chuckle sometimes........and to think, that is where i started my forum life!! lol
Too funny. Even more, does any OEM maufacturer recommend it? I think not. I see this all the time. Dealerships use snake oil for everything. MOC, Granitize, etc., remember Justis Brothers. It's a way to generate gross profit for stuff you don't need, and usually doesn't work. The mechanics get spiffed, so do the advisors, service managers, etc. Most techs won't use it unless they are paid extra, sometimes up to $6.00 a product. It the OEM manufacturer doesn't recommend it, pass.
Lol, Crazy J, If you decide to try any of the BND stuff make sure you don't let on that you know or ever heard of any of us (... come to think of it, none of us have been banned anywhere recently. What's up with that?)
just went back to check in........ all i can say is this dave.........i love you man!!!! lmao!!! you have such a knack for beating people up with questions!! lol what i found humorous is that all this discussion and the vendor only responded to a question relating to it being the same product as something else that seemed to fail......
Yes he "custom blends" oils. Not so much for our specific motors as specific conditions, useage, etc...at least from what I've read. My car sits through winter and I usually change the oil out each spring even though it only sees around 1-4K miles. Seems like a waste to me. I thought if he could provide something I could get more use out of it might be worth it. I have NO idea what he would change in the oil to allow this. This is why I'm asking questions. I don't have the time to become an expert on topics like this but I don't like the "well many like it so it must be good" mentality either.
That, my friend, is EXACTLY how others should think. ^^^ This is why our resident clowns, er experts, went over there and started asking the appropriate questions. The silence of the ACE's guy (not answering the questions presented) should be red flags for everyone. Stick with the brand oils you know and what is recommended by the manufacturer and you can't go wrong.
