Ok, so last month I got a fix it ticket for the tinted tails. No biggy. I got some new LED tails that are nothing but RED> lol Anywho, I went to the Irvine PD yesterday to get my ticket signed off and it cost me $8.00. WTF? $8 just to get the officer to come outside and check to see if the infraction is fixed and to sign his name on the back of the ticket. Jesus, the city's are getting hard up for cash these days. Good thing I parked WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out in the boonies. haha I made the officer earn his $8. Funny thing is, I didn't have much cash on me and they don't take cards. I gave the guy a 5, two 1's, two quarters, and five dimes. lol
8 bucks is cheap... I had to pay 15 out in Riverside to have them come outside so that they can see my new ugly taillights... I want to find some 09 tails and send them off to Ernie and have him do his magic... and leave those inserts nice and red... and tint the shit out of the rest and paint it to match..
Yup, that is my plan later this year. lol it is what it is, Chase. I will still put the tinted tails in for shows and photo shoots. hehe
Yeah, I still have my painted tails. If I had the tools/time I'd put 'em on for SpringFest, but don't need the grief on the way down or the way back if I get pulled over.
You need to find a local cop to buddy with... Then it's done for free over coffee at your house or a M&G!

wow....... one more reason i love florida........ although it is not legal to have tinted tail lights, at least we do not get ticketed for it!! lol
Nothing to do with the city hurting. It's always been that way. PDs and Sheriff stations have always charged. You can get them signed off at any CHP station for free...
It is (an automatic) $25. for fix it tickets (processing fee - LA County) I got pulled over 11am for a brake light out on my Neon. later that day swapped the bulb out & a couple of days later, when to Santa Moniac PD to get it signed of, they don't do that, I got to go to the Sheriff's Office the Court house two building over. I go over there, empty my pocket, walk thru to find that the Sheriff office wanted $15. to sign the ticket or I can go tho the CHP for FREE. So now I'm off to Culver City CHP. Walked in told them, they came out signed (partically) done. So now it's off the WLA Court House to turn in the ticket, I stood in line (for about an hour), i get to the window I was told it was a $25. processing fee and was told I ' can not ' pay the ticket because it is not in the system, it may take 30 days, I can mail it or use the drop box. I told her I wanted a reciept. I go back 30 days later & the same thing not in the system just use the drop box, but, I want a recieipt. Fine so I'll use the drop box & take my chances. You try to due the right thing following rules & regs,but, it's just bullshit & a waste of time. P.S. Now I carry an extra buld with me in the glove box to see if the officer will let me change it rightthan & there ? ? ?
