I take different routes to work based off of whats going on, and what time i go in. today I took the interstate, and for some background, you can see this... http://www.lohud.com/article/201102...lain-Poughkeepsie-officer-s-funeral-in-Carmel I saw what I estimate to be 150 to 200 police cars and other emergency vehicles on their way to his funeral, lights and sirens in what looked to be a procession. I dont think it was his actual procession but it could have been as the amount of cars/trucks lights and sirens was pretty overwhelming. This guy was a pretty loved figure around here and even those of us who didn't get to know him have been finding some way to pay tribute to him. Being a police officer was his "dream job" and he died protecting and serving. I did not know him, but I salute him, and God Speed Officer Faclone.
man, thats gotta be rough. I don't know how these guys do it but I honor somebody who puts his life on the line for the rest of us. Hats off to him...
