Ghost Throtting Have any of you ever had any issues with your throttle sticking? (Ghost Throttling) This has happen to me before I had the TT installed 3 or 4 times . If I let off the throttle it would slowly drop in speed and stay at about 1500 rpm’s if I put the car in (N) or if I'm at a light and I take my foot of the gas the car will slowly move up to 20 to 25 mph without giving it any throttle But now with the TT on it happens all the time and sometime even stay in boost for about a sec after I let off the Throttle. When i first start the car i'm in the 900's rpm, after I drive just for a bit it then stays at 1 to 15K rpm Any thoughts?
All tune bud, 100%. What are you using for a BOV. Let me do some reading on that particular wastegate Flex, you may have a combination of two things you're dealing with that add up to one problem.
First off the auto drive is tune, no two ways about it. You really should go see Bob Crespo. If you'd like, I can contact him for you. Tell you what Flex, email me your tune and I'll ask him to give it a once over. As for my other comment, I'll get back to you bud.
Hey Flex, I need the exact model number and what spring is in it please. Also are you running this as a BOV or is it plumbed iun as a bypass??. Also do you have a boost/vac gauge on it and if so, at what value (should still be in vacuum where this occurs in your case) does auto drive start?.
EDIT, you're not ready for a dyno yet bud. There needs to be a couple changes before you waste your money or both your's time. That knock issue still has me wondering if you're running lean. Forget the octane, you could be at the limitation of the map, do you know exactly what you have.
1 - SRT-4 MAP Sensor. Ok you have my undivided attention. As for the dyno. I mint after YUO and Bob Cresto get me all sq away.....
Did I read that right, you have a one bar map. Hope not, that won't handle where you're at right now and explains a ton about the part throttle issue and the WOT.
The SRT 4 Map Sensors are 2 bar, Cam. I think the "1" was being referenced as "1 each" from Flex's invoice. lol :huglove:
Hey big Ron, I jsut have one SRT 4 Map sensor Have a look the post that was send to me from LX. Also Johan was going to do my full tune but he got sick and was not at work for a few days. That's when i call Dave to help my out. Johan has been told about the what's going on and has agreed to look and my tune and see what is what. But i still need to have the springs replace with a lower lbs one. (I had Johan tune my Hellion TT 6.1 Challenger.The car ran like crap & set several codes with the Motiva tune.Dave at Motiva found nothing wrong with the Tune.Johan found something wrong & fixed it in a email tune.Where are you returning the oil to the engine? returning it to the breather fitting won't work,too much vacuum will build up in the crankcase because you blocked off the only spot fresh air gets into the engine.Return the oil to the valve covers & run the breather hose down to the turbo air filter.Check the rightside turbo inlet flex hose for kinking at the p/s lines.The kit works great if you get a good tuner & fix the oil return & R/S turbo inlet problems)
That would be correct, Flex. The Map Sensor you have is a 2 bar sensor. I was merely explaining to Cam what your original post was meaning as Cam was reading it as being a 1 bar map sensor rather than a 2 bar map sensor. Hope this clears up the confusion?
Yep you did:huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove::huglove:
The map is good to 15 psi. Dave can read it up to 15 in the computer. As to the knock sensor, we have You at 11.2:1 air fuel at the point of knocking and we have tried it at 11.8:1 and 10.6:1 with no change in the knock sensor.
BTW, I will tell you ALL this. Dave from Motiva and John from Hellion have been calling, emailing and texting me all yesterday and today (Sunday) about this. Between them Cam, Johan and all your input. This will be Handeled in no time at all. Thank you for your help!!!
Sorry bud, but not correct. Depending on what it was ordered off of, it can be a 1.5 bar, 2 or 3. Josh has a bad habit of running the 1.5 which will not allow you to scale the VE tables correctly and the car will pitch a fit at idle and have mad issues with auto drive. Add in the wrong rating on the BOV spring, and it's over before it begin. Flex, I bet if you can get the model number off the map, it's a 04686884AA which will not work for where you're at.
