My wife brought home a miniature dachshund 7 months ago and I was pretty miffed...not that I dislike dogs one bit, but we are just not home enough to train it right and give it the attention it deserves, IMHO. Plus, I don't like my couches, ink pens and carpeting chewed to crap either. Well, the dark one survived and isn't too bad a dog. Yesterday, I arrive home to ANOTHER one...and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't be pissed and ignore everyone in the house after watching the little thing for a few minutes. OMG...the drunk-like leaping around and barking at whatever her eyes happened to land upon is hilarious! If you lay your hand on the ground, she will run over and curl up in your hand and try to go to sleep. I am such a sucker...
Grudgingly, I have to admit it One thing I have noticed about the male Dachshund...the darn thing is tough as nails, and it's not real big or anything. WTF were they ever bred or used for anyway?
Obviously in the dog world, size isn't as important because aside from simply being fearless and badass, the occasional encounter with a larger dog, so far, has resulted with him backing the other dog down. Weird.
cute puppy...... tough to be mad at a puppy or kitten.... my wife just brought home a veeeeery small kitten, so small it had to be hand fed, and i was not real thrilled. turns out the cat never leaves my side and since being laid up with a bum ankle, it has done nothing but curl up on my lap at all times. lol
Yeah, I swear my dad's folks were witches or something. All of them own or owned cats and since I was a little girl, I've yet to meet a cat that didn't want to be my best friend, even though I much prefer beagles. Even now there's a damn calico that follows me when I'm out walking and I'll find paw prints on the hood of the Charger. Dang cats.
Awwww. That's fuggin awesome Jon! Glad to see you opened your heart up to the little man. It's an amazing thing to take in an animal. All they EVER want is your love and affection. Good for you bro. If it was up to me, the wife and I would have 10 strays......but it's not up to me, lol.
Cats. UHHHHHGGGG! let's not even go there. Useless as a wing on a ricer. Jon, if yo ever can't find them, find a pile of cloths or a bunched up blanket. They love to be in tight places. Claustrophobia isn't a problem for these lil guys.
LOL...oh I am sure you know what a warm unfolded pile of clean clothes right out of the dryer will bring... Takes about 30 seconds before the big male is inside...
