She likes the 3 series BMW. Went to a dealership today and she got to drive a 335i sedan with the Sport package. This time around, I got on the car pretty good on the straights. She moves pretty well. Faster than my former mustang gt (300 hp) so this 335 has to be under rated like many folks have said. My SOP dyno puts that car at about 325-340 at the crank. The engine(s) are velvet smooth even with the turbos. No noticeable lag just brisk and linear acceleration... The kick in the pants starts at about 1500 rpms and just keeps going... No let down in power all the way through to redline. We also drove a non sport package 335, and there's a noticeable difference in performance type handling. The ride was more subtle and didn't feel as taunt... Not AS well connected to the road. Mind you, this base suspension was stil remarkable, but not as much ad the sport equipped sedan. Also, the seats in the base model were very nice but lacked the lumbar and bolstered support of the sport equipped vehicle. Mrs. Momo liked how the cars handled and accelerated... They're smaller than the charger and are more in tune with her abilities (more nimble, more pointable... Easier to control and drive). Overall she had the feeling of being in total control of the BMW... They're confidence inspiring, and that's important, given the car can back it up. You'd have to really try to get this car out of control. They're just so well rounded vehicles, and unlike any dealer I've ever been to, the salesman actually tried talking us into a lesser vehicle (328i) at one point and advised us to sell the charger privately (no trade in). Zero pressure. Final say: a 3 series will likely be our next car. It's just so much car in a pre-packaged, package.
Lol, Salesman: "honestly sir, and I sincerely don't mean any disrespect, but this might be a little too much car for you" Salesman (in the back office): "He wanted to trade in that charger. I kid you not Harry, he has this sort of shrine thing going in the trunk! It's just creeping me out."
The EQ Godfather says it's OK Jason. You can move forward to "The Ultimate Driving Machine". No need for turmoil, it's ok. We understand. Cindy really wants an M3 or 335, but I'm too old, and they're not wide enough. Cindy and I just traded the 2008 Honda Pilot in for the a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour EX-L. It's a very impressive car. Variable timing 271HP V6 with the ability to run on 6, 4, or 3 cylinders.
When will you be trading the Charger in for the Bimmer? Are you working for BMW now? You do realize this is a Mopar site, right?
3 series isn't a big car, that's for sure! What's Mopar? LOL BTW: I heard Vortech is going to produce a blower for the BMW 3 series... where can I sign up?!?! Leg still hurting? *sorry for the color choice. LMAO
