jeff / ted - do you guys carry the stock srt8 lug nuts and if so how much??? i am also looking for the special socket that is used to remove them without messing up the corner edges of the aluminum nuts!!! the type that grabs from the center of the flat edges of the nut, not the corners. i have about half dozen fo them that are getting pretty mangled!!!! thanks guys!!!
Chris, I've seen a couple of pics (on here?) of lug nut sockets with what looks to be a plastic or teflon lining. Can't remember who sells them though. It was some good line of automotive tools.
I went to Sears and got a 1/2 in drive, 6 pt, 21mm socket. It appears to fit and work perfectly. Oh, and I don't ever use an impact wrench...only elbow grease for me. Keith
Curtis, Curtis, how do you clean and polish the inside barrels of your wheels??? (just on the outside chance you're referring to the car)
this is the exact set up i have been using that, after several times, has damaged the edges of the aluminum nuts. i do not use an impact either..... just strength!! hahaha
thought about that, but i like the look of the stock nuts....... hey kris, do you and lisa have anything like the special socket that i am looking for???? just curious.... thanks!
You know who will have what you are looking for...Griots Garage, I know they carry a special Socket set that is supposed to protect your wheels and nuts lol This may do the trick http://griotsgarage.com/product/tools/specialty+tools/protective+socket+set.do
