Damn, yesterday was yur B-day?. Well happy belated brother!. And how could I have missed this.........ah crap that's right, I was busy unwrapping your present. :stars:
Well, I remember drinks, beers and a little food. Oh, and Ron's panties up near his ears Thanks Adam! See you in a couple of months Ya, thanks. Could you tell I "dropped" my present before you got it? lol Wiseco FTW!
I spent 10 hours on only the top end. I dun't know yet. But we sure have figured out why she eats pistons.
Tell ya what, we'll have to get Jon boys approval before I open my yapper. But if he's cool with it, I'm good with showing you guys a few things about how the details can kill a motor. But I'll do in it's own thread. After all, we wouldn't want to derail a perfectly good B-day thread now would we. :zorro:
LOL...lay it all out there buddy I'm not shy...besides...I think we know WTF happened pretty well. If one thing helps prevent someone else from similar circumstances it is worth it. Dude, I am not shitting you...I just walked in from shoveling, sat down and read your post...LOL (where do you have the camera???)
Oh, I have a perfectly good wideband and dual Aeroforce gauges monitoring KR, AIT, timing advance, bla bla bla. I was around 12.0 to 1 A/F at WOT...at 7000 ft altitude. What happens iiiisssssss...The 'driver' goes racing 300 miles away, drops 2600 ft elevation, makes no changes to the WOT fuel ranges, but is planning on monitoring things and make changes. Said 'driver' then realizes he can't see the orange digital numbers with his new tricky gold face shield on, plus...the sun is really bright on this 95 degree day with glare and all that. 'Driver' can't find his sunglasses so that he can take the face shield off...wife has 'em at the motel. PLUS, 'driver' is sweating profusely from waiting in the Time Only line always having to be ready to get waved into the lanes when there is a gap, so how could the wideband possibly be seen now? Buuut, the car is running great, so off we go..again, and again, and again... (Later learned my catch can was full which probably accounted for the quick puffs of smoke while winding out at the end of the track on Saturday...oil is an awesome de-octane booster. Dumped the can Sat night, no puffs of smoke on Sunday...same conditions) You get the idea. Cam has a bunch of useful data about a few thing he came up with, but I am pretty sure I contributed to some new pistons.
Thanks Chris!!! Are you, by chance, thinking about Irvine in a couple of months? I'll buy every single one of your beers if you come
wow jon..... that is one hell of an offer!! come to think of it, i do have a free ticket i need to use on southwest......hmmmmmm...... let me think about this one!!
