Hehe, just watch them laying down. :thongue2: Yee. Luckly for us, no fire and brimstone type of crap like the house across the street. But one massive mess, that's for sure. Damn good thing I own a Bobcat and pressure washer, dem suckers gonna get used real good after this passes. So this morning when I saw that the road was getting undermined. I decided to be a good all american citizen and give the country road services a call and let them know. So they answer and I tell them "hey it's not a emergency, but the roads got a 4-5ft drop off and when you get a chance, ya might want to come cone this off". The girl that answered the phone says is a very somber tone........"YA, we'll get right on that". LMMFAO!!, guess ya had to be there. :bye:
lol Today was the worst of the rain. Thought I was back in Albuquerque during Monsoon season. lol Yea, it is suppose to dry up tomorrow through Saturday, then the big storm hits us. Here is the news from early this morning at my Software Engineer's neighborhood. It is a "Creek" that runs along Adam's property. Fortunately Adam's house is on top of a bluff. He is, however, stranded as the road (bridge) is washed out. haha http://www.ocregister.com/video/?videoId=720837612001&play=now
Here is a picture Adam took about an hour or so after the rain stopped. To gauge how deep the mud is crossing the road, find the Green Garbage can in the upper left corner of the picture. lol
Wow, its like living in the Mississippi flood plain all over again...well we weren't on it, but it was on the news all the time.
Our local weather is calling for SNOW for Christmas day; the worse part IS we have only ONE snow plow for the whole county. The last time it snowed they had little tractors with scoops, scooping up the snow and dumping on the side of the road. AND... they will NOT come in our "dirt road" developement so it's always a MESS in here. We are supposed to go to our daughers' house on Christmas day which is near 50 miles away. We'll have to wait and see what really happens. Weird weather all over the country; here included. Yesterday was pretty darn nice, around 60 degrees and I washed and waxed one of our Magnums. Today, however is a whole different story, 28 degrees and 30-40 MPH winds; it's really COLD out!!! Another day to just stay in!!!
WOW! I was going to tell you to just get 1BAD4DR going about 5 mph and don't look back...you'll get across. After seeing the garbage can, I think I would set up a lawn chair and just watch :boat: See what you get for gloating over your good weather :cold:
Holy crap! you own a bobcat?! How come no pics/vids stories about bobcat adventures/screwups/crashes etc.
Man, those trailer park people are like Kenny on Southpark... In the midwest they get taken out by tornados.
you have really gone wimpy on us... I did not know by moving to the OC you get so whipped so fast... move inland to see some real rivers flowing... better yet go up to the foothills of San Gabriels.. You probably thought the flood in down town Laguna Niguel was the apocalypse cause your favorite latte shop was damaged... maybe should wander off to mam by pandy land you jack wagon!!!
Damn, I´ll just stop complaining about our weather, its brilliant! Jon, what DO you have behind that HUGE garagedoor??? Fredrik:grin:
Well, not what I'd like to have, but: Here is the other side: Here is the room upstairs: So far...just a big place to collect more junk all-in-all.
