Been a few weeks since I got rid of it but im still getting used to not having my Charger and all that power. I must admit it was harder letting it go then I thought it would be, alot of blood and sweat went into that car and ofcourse money! I enjoyed every minute of my 3 years in my Charger SRT8 right up to the end. Unfortunately a job change and the possibility of having to use my Charger every day with fuel prices the way they are and having to use it in salty snowy roads drove my OCD crazy so I traded it in for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee until the 2012 JGC SRT8 comes out. Looking into the 2012 Challenger also.Hopefully by then work will be situated and I can get back into a SRT8. Still going to stay on and read about all you guys dropping money into your rides. For now my modding sickness is under control. Love this forum so im not going anywhere, hope to be back posting more in the Jeep section when the 2012 comes out!
Sorry to hear that, but i'm sure you will enjoy the '11 JGC, a friend of mine just got one...nice rides. Not the power you're use to, but look at it like this, when you get the 2012 SRT, it'll come with more power than you had when you sold the Charger. Good luck with your new gig.
I hope I never have to make that decision. The Charger's practically a member of the family. Still, I can understand having to and good luck to you with getting another LX/LC/SRT in the near future.
Thank you awesome was what I was shooting for :thanks: I'm enjoying the 2011 JGC for now, I have not driven a car in snow, well one that is mine anyways since my 2006 JGC SRT8 in over 6 years die to my OCD. Looking forward to the 2012 SRT8 its between the Challenger and Jeep but I'm leaning towards the Jeep for now. Thanks Tamara, it was a hard choice indeed. Tamara your little one is growing up to be a gorgeous young lady!! Very difficult but it becoming a daily driver I just could not do. Gas alone would have killed me it was averaging 6 MPG city!! Honestly it is hands down the nicest SUV out there IMHO, the interior is just unbelievable, the finish the gadgets, the Quadra Lift and the new HEMI 5.7 w/VVT hauls ass and is much better on gas then I thought it would be. I hear the Pentastar 3.6 is incredible on gas but I could not pass on the 5.7. If you test drive one you will buy it, it sells itself.
You know I loved that beast and have told many about the story of when you took me and Dr. Steve around the corner from the bar Billy took us to in NYC and crancked up the car and started revving the hell out of the engine, Doc and I look back and see this big ol cop looking right at you with this WTF are you thinking revving your engine like that, he stands there for a minute looking over the car with ticket book in hand ready to write you a ticket, closes it up and puts it away and says "If this had been any other car you would of got a ticket" and after that he couldn't stop asking questions about it...LOL
Thanks! That was a great nite Wade, great story to! Looking forward to the next gen Jeep SRT8 but in the mean time im enjoying the Overland and waiting for the snow! There are so many like that Dave LOL!
Sorry to hear that bro. Would still love to meet up sometime next year. I understand, these are some trying times for all and your a bigger man for doing what's needed. Can't wait to see the next beast. Take care!
