My 426 engine is finally done. After fighting different head and cam combinations and testing different throttle bodies......I'm so done.

So I did my 800mile round trip trek from Orange County to Sacramento to see Bob at SVS. Bob is very well know on the West Coast especially on the LX Forum, hosting MOFO testing and many other "new" products....so I dont need to introduce him.

We did back to back tests with different fuels and throttle bodies. I can at least state that the Arrington 90mm vs stock cnc ported 85mm from Dave Weber did make exactly 4.8hp@5814/5.5tq@5263 on 91 octane and 7hp@5814/5.8tq@5263 using "better fuel" in my 426. This is a built 426 with an extrudehoned, cnc/hand ported manifold, hand worked plenum and high flowing heads to take advantage of such a large throttle body.

So the final numbers are 553.5hp@5924rpm and 532.4tq@5144

The final configuration turned out to be 426cid/10:9 compression, Mondello wet flow ported and coated heads retaining stock valves with PSI springs, Lunati VooDoo cam, heavily flowed and ported intake manifold by Dave Weber and ExtrudeHone, 90mm throttle body, Kooks headers, 170 thermostat, Modified Ford Cobra Blue Giant Injectors, FORE Rails with -6 and -8 fuel crossovers, BWoody 4" CAI, Stock catback, NGK Iridium LZTR6AIX-13.

I almost forgot......Thanks Bob@SVS and Lonnie/Whitehemi for all the assembly, install and tuning help!

Freakin' awesome! And that's through the AWD, correct?? So that setup in a RWD LX/LC would be closer to 570ish rwhp. Not too shabby. Good job!

    edit, who built the 426?

Actually it was set up two wheel. Bobs dyno is only two wheel. I had L&R Automotive in Santa Fe Springs 'rebuild" the shortblock for me, Mondello prepped a new set of head and Lonnie and I assembled and installed it at my home.
