So the past three weeks I've been working a "team" project for my Systems Analysis and Design mid-term.

Well, I put "team" in quotes because of four team members, two have either not participated at all, or barely participated and never submitted anything. So the other participating member and I did all the work and submitted our project draft for the professor to review. His response?

"I could not have written anything better, myself."

He's a certified PMP (Project Management Professional I think?) and the fact that he's impressed with my Context and Data Flow Diagrams makes me feel confident about adding Visio to my Resume skillset. :)

So basically he found no fault with the draft and I have a feeling if we submitted it as is, we'd get a high A on it. Sweet!

    Anyway, had to share. :dance4::dance4::dance4:

    That is awesome.

I know how you feel about the "Team" effort issues. I faced the same problems back when I attended UofPhoenix.

Congrats on a great review from your professor.

Since I don't participate as part of a team, I'll go along with what Wade said.

Alright! I got 100% credit on this thing, despite the third team member turning up the day the assignment was due to try and swoop in and take credit after doing nothing. I had already submitted it and explained what happened, she blew up and I stood my ground. I did NOT get personal even after she cast aspersions about me being a "stay at home mom with a toddler" compared with her being a "highly important technology manager". Yeah, I'm the dumb mommy with 100%!!! Ha!! HA HA HA!

Okay, back to homework. I'm so happy! :dance4:

That's awesome Tam. You should have asked her how important the grade was to her and bribed her and got some mod money out of her! :sly:

Nah, considering she didn't take me seriously as a team lead or the grade seriously or the class seriously, I don't think she would've been very easily manipulated. She just epicly failed at trying to manipulate me. I'm tempted to post up some of her screed for sh*ts and giggles, but that's not how I am, plus the quarter's not over yet. Just going to enjoy this victory and start planning for the finals.

Haha, you should have turned it in with "I'm sure soandso will be turning in her portion tomorrow".

I made comments on my peer evaluation to explain why I gave her 1 point out of a possible 20. ;)

Good lord, there's more. So now we're one unethical witch down, just the two of us "good" team members, right?

Right. I'm wrapping up my half of the final, started editing and formatting her half of the final so its ready to present to the Prof for review before we submit for a grade. Well, she has an awful lot of material for what is essentially a couple of expository essay questions. And its really professional sounding in light of her other work from the mid-term. Oh and she didn't even really answer the questions in her section. So I google the opening sentence of a paragraph. Turns out the following two paragraphs are up on Wikipedia, exact same, down to mispellings and punctuation. I pick another sentence at random from the other portion of hers, its from a course guide for technical college's version of this class. So I scan both documents, nothing the least bit original in them. And had I not been semi-awake I would have missed it, and submitted all of it to the professor with my name on it. Hello F on the course I've half killed myself over a SECOND time. Oh and hello getting kicked out of freaking college I'm paying for, hello student loans, hello no jobs for college drop-out plagiarists.

So I forwarded her emailed attachments to the professor, with the run down and links to the sites and documents she ripped off. Then she has the nerve to email asking how the final is going because she's "anxious" about her part. Right..anxious.

Anyway, submitted my wholly original half, with references for every book I cracked open and every site I peeked at in the course of putting this mother of a document together. Figure at the very least he can let me know if I'm on the right path. Then I have two days to wrap up her portion to have a complete assignment, and meanwhile there will be the inevitable fireworks when she figures out the jig is up. I just want my high B / low A and to be done with this damn class and school and to go back to work, where people are a little bit more chickenshit about pulling stunts like this and I have more recourse than hoping a Professor is paying attention. Jeez...

Okay, final is DONE. Going to bed, then look at it again in the morning and submit and then its just TWO more quarters before I graduate. Alright, I'm gonna go pass out now.
