a few months ago i decided to get a new paint job on the charger, i decided to keep it and mod it a little bit more so as a dd in california, i couldnt really go huge. i decided cosmetic was best so i got a front and rear end clip from grip tuning and sent the car in to get the large dent (hit and run in ghetto oakland) taken out of the left side and re-paint her. ....this was now on friday going to be the 50th day this shop has had my car. without going into it too far, they decided to replace the shell of the rear left quarter panel. supposedly this shell was on back order, though i called cleavland pick a part and they said they could ship one out to my the next day. anyway, i got my car "finished" last friday. i had my dad pick up the car and bring it over to a guy who was going to upgrade the interior. my dad gets about a mile away from the shop and notices the car is making a lot of noise underneath. turns out they didnt secure the under liner and wheel liners. the wheel liners were burnt through because of friction caused by the tire, the under liner was cut up really bad as well due to being used as a make shift "shovel" and picking up the set blacktop. i now need to wait for my ins company to come by the new shop, take a look at the damage and repair two long scrapes down the passenger side that look like someone drug a chain-link fence to close to the car. oh, did i mention that they cut my custom box out of the side of the car and clipped my 8 gauge cable as well? they just fuking snipped the cable off, they didnt even take the extra minute to disconnect it from the amp.... i am crazy pissed and thinking of suing.
I would definitely do something. They shouldn't get away with that kind of garbage. Sorry to hear about this.
Dont you just love crap ass work? Sorry to hear buddy. Is why I did 95% of all the work to my car after my minor fender bender, you just cant find quality work anymore no matter what price you pay, it really is sad. Hense DIY, FTW!
dahahaha, that was the very first thing that came to mind when I read that... "You should have just sent it to Tony." Sue them. Call your insurance and see if they are going to sue or if you can encourage them to sue. Make sure it doesn't effect your insurance if you make a claim. I think the max for small claims is $7500 now?
That SUCKS ass, Steve. How did you pay this shop? I would reverse charges if by credit, or place a stop payment on the check... Put up the fight. Legally of course.
Damn dude. You wanna backrub?? Maybe a happy ending?? Cuz I hear Ron's for hire these days..... Seriously though, try not to kill someone. Sorry to hear bro.
Wow that f'n sucks!!! That's why I hate body shops. They always half ass shit and figure that you won't notice. Dumb shits!!!!! Sorry bro!
Fight back! Take pictures and report them to the BBB. You may have a local agency in your area, or you can go to the BBB website. Additionally, you can use the BBB website to check out businesses before you commit yourself. At a minimum, they cane give you run-down on most establishments. Hope it helps.
Hey DRKNE55, just got done reading your thread. Heck no! You're not crazy pissed for thinking that! That really sucks, and I have NO clue how I would have taken it... :nuke: any updates? How's the Charger doin?
got it back about a week ago, scratches are still there and my report is in as well as my small claims court petition. the car looks really good though, front and rear were repainted as well as the hood.
Wow, you're right, it does look really good! I love those Chargers! Yours looks very mean, and sa-wheat! Hope your small claims turns out for the best. Good luck.
