Before I had the SRT, I of course read a lot about it and knew about the better suspension, handling, seats, brakes, the fact it sits lower and the other stuff that differentiates the car from for example the R/T or C models.

However, I did not anticipate just how fantastic the car is to drive. It's truly a cohesive package, sort of like BMW's M division. Everything fits together, and the whole thing adds up to more than the sum of its parts.

The drivetrain and exhaust is 100% stock, no air intake or exhaust mods have been done to the car at all but frankly I don't see a need to do either of those things! Hit about 3000 rpms and the sound is incredibly nice and the thrust leaves very little to be desired!!!

Yeah I'll drive this every day and be putting loads of miles on it...but I don't see how I can ever get rid of it now. I want to keep the R/T forever and now... you think I can rent a second garage somewhere??!!?:D

Today I was at a Shop Rite and parked far away from everyone else. When I came back out, a yellow C6 Corvette had parked right next to me, also far away from everyone else. That's right, baby. American muscle!!!

    1) Diablo Sport Predator
    2) Hotchkis Sway bars
    3) DC Strut Bar (are they still making those?)

    If you're still going

    4) Corsa Exhaust - sounds about stock with a little better note... until you put your foot in it.
    5) Mopar CAI - sounds wonderful -- almost as much difference as the exhaust. (Legmaker's for performance ... come to think of it, I have no idea what that sounds like?)

Understand the feeling ~ I treat mine like this as well ~ however I won't drive mine in any inclement weather; got other cars for that. So..... my 06 Mag SRT just turned 10,000 miles a few days ago.

    hehe
    Thanks

Funny thing - before I got the SRT, I saw them often, especially the Jeeps, but also the occasional 300C SRT8 or Charger SRT8.

But I haven't seen a single SRT on the road since I got the Magnum. Maybe I'm too busy just driving the thing and not feeling the need to look after SRTs, I dunno:D

On SRT8's, I see more 300's than any, then Chargers, Chally, Magnums, and lastly Jeeps.
One day at a major intersection, i saw a 300, and Magnum headed East, a Chally heading West, another 300 heading South and my Charger heading South....ALL SRT8's. Pretty cool.

I definitely get more attention from car guys in this car. Yesterday a guy in a black Ford Mustang complimented me on how nice the car looks. He had some reso delete work done to his exhaust that sounded really good as well.

Not your average car for sure. Loving it.

Glad youre happy, I was for about 6.000 miles and then, power, more power, need more power... etc...
Got the Vortec and all is good and well for the moment, but if I start driving it to much I´ll be back at power, more power, NEEEEED more power... LOL

Haven´t been able to put the quaife in yet (spectaculary out of money at the moment) and I do miss it.
Other than that its brilliant, comfy, stable and roars like thunder when called upon, soooooo many drivers of "fast" cars has been surprised.
Just last week I was on my way home, doing around 90 and came up behind someone overtaking a truck doing like 60 and the truck was doing like 58.
Braked and kept my distance not wanting to stir any feelings but behind me was a BMW M3 CSL coming up FAST, my estimate would be 110 - 120, ran all the way up on my bumper flashing his lights and waving his arms, passenger just smiling. When the car in front of me changed lane I had my window down, arm out and showing three fingers counting down, leaving my middle finger for last and floored it!
Slowly pulling away and keeping my foot down until I hit 145, he´d lost more than a hundred meters so I let off.
They pulled up beside and there were two very surprised young men in that Beemer...
A thumbs up and away they went.

Just one of those little moments when owning and driving a blown SRT makes everything worth while!

Make sure you keep that thing locked tight, you know how they are in the Bricks. I live in ATLANTA, but was born and raised in Newark.

1500 miles in four weeks since I got the car. Impossible to have more overall fun in a car than in this one. Your passenger just doesn't expect it when you leave a highway on-ramp at 80 mph after being at a dead stop 6-7 seconds prior hahaha

Speaking of that - Chris, is there anywhere I can hear a sound clip of the different air intakes? I'm leaning toward the Franken III, but then I figure I might as well get the Hammer type if I'm doing an intake at all... lol
