Trying to get on the same page with the wife about finding our third car, when she turns in her Infiniti in December. My pipe dreams of a CTS-V have been (TEMPORARILY) shattered, due to the fact that when she gets pregnant next year, We'll be living off my income alone. So today we talked, and FINALLY got on the same page!!! We just need to keep the payment under $500 a month.... The goal is for her to take over the Jeep, and I get to hunt for something sporty and fun. But for under $500/month, that means it has to be used. So I've looked at EVERYTHING from WRX STi's & Mitsu Evos, to Pontiac G8's. And today I've even dug up some SRT Magnums for sale (gotta have 4 doors). Even thought about a VW R32. I mean, my mind is OPEN. It just simply has to be fun to look at, fun to drive, normal to low miles, and CLEAN. I even prefer something slightly modded. But I just can't seem to find anything EXACTLY right. I mean I've literally been online for over 5 hours now!!! It's either too high mileage, not well-maintained, or some other BS. Anyway, if you guys find anything, let me know!! I'm SHOPPING!! And I've already gotten the green light from my bank, so game on!! Just gotta find it!!
I know this is going to be a stupid question but.....If it's going to be your fun car why does it need to have 4 doors?
#1) Wifey thinks anything with two doors, says: "I'm single." Somehow she thinks that pussy will be thrown at me if I have a two door car, lol. #2) With the Charger & Jeep in & out of the "mod-shop" from time to time, she may have to drive it. And with us planning a family, she wants four doors. I'm okay with four doors, no biggie. You may, may just want to wait until the baby comes and then see how the two of you feel about it. The reality of what is and is not important does not even come close to how you think it will be in advance until you're there and it smacks you about the face. It is possible to make due and integrate baby expenses since you give up a lot of fun stuff just due to exhaustion and how busy kids make you. So I would take a breather on this since it seems to have you both all worked up. Plus the fact that you're making a conscious effort to make babies with her and she's worried about women flirting with you over a two door? Dude, I'd be shopping for a Mini Cooper or a Smart Car or something equally chick-repellant to prove how silly that is. How many players are there that own FOUR DOOR SRT 300s? Anyway...good luck and again I think if this can wait until after the baby, that maybe you'll both have a better handle on what will and won't work.
I drove the VW R32 from NY to TX and it was a fun AWD little V6 but no where near the power of what your used to but an awesome car non the less, paddle shifters, dual clutch and sharp looking. G8 GT stock are boring to drive, nice but boring and need alot of $$ to get to what you want and finding a used GXP is tough and they want alot of $$$ for them I say find a STi and have fun.

Lol, thanks Fredrik, you're a good dude! And thanks for the PM, good lookin out buddy!! We're ready. As far as the car deal goes, her lease is up in December, so we gotta find something, at least within the next 60 days. December is also CRAZY for me, so we won't have time to shop then.
Gen II Viper FTW..... You've got two family cars already. Make that your "date night" car, or your Saturday morning "errands" car.
Why another SRT-8....you already have 2!! Go with something different, like a Viper or Z06 if you want a fun car for yourself!!
No shit.....I get it dude.....SHE doesn't. I'm with ya homie. Again, not gonna happen. I've been down the Z06 road so many times I can't even remember. I mean we've seriously had ARGUMENTS about getting that car. It just ain't gonna happen. In the end, I've gotta realize there's WAY MORE important things in life, and I'm madly in love with my wife. So at this juncture in my life, I'm gonna have to be okay with driving something fast with a couple extra doors, and I can live with that. Now that's just fuggin funny!!!!
