Maybe my NAV knows more than I thought.

On the way to Marc's grandmother's 90th birthday banquet in the Outer Sunset neighborhood yesterday evening, I thought my NAV was on crack when it kept telling me to go the opposite direction from what Google Maps said on Marc's iPhone. For example, take 101 S instead of in the direction of Golden Gate bridge. Well, after getting stuck in stand-still traffic for twenty minutes while Critical Mass (including THREE NAKED MIDDLE-AGED WHITE MEN on BICYCLES ) rolled by, I think maybe the NAV was onto something.

Note to self, last Friday of the month, allow an extra two hours if I HAVE to go into the City.

iphones are retarded. you need to go on 101 south through the city for a bit to end up in outer sunset.

the golden gate doesnt do you much good unless youre going to sausalito.

Yeah, it was like we were headed to UCSF hospital, but then this ugly zigzaging around that hill and thru a park and then tada, two blocks from the restaurant. Oh and the food... almost all seafood and I woke up with an MSG hangover. At least I could chalk it up to being the white girl.

yeah i usually take the end around route even though as the crow flies its faster to get there going through the city. i drive up to richmond and then go over their knox bridge and into golden gate park from sausalito. its all highway, no city traffic.

I've ran into routes like that too, Makes me wonder who maps the route.

Well, for navigating Berkeley, the NAV prefers to take the long roundabout route, instead of shaving a couple of minutes and going a more direct route. Probably a route option setting I have.

I just thought it was funny that I was "whatever!" to the NAV going into the City, then we get stuck and have to sit thru naked and hooting and hollering bicyclist activists and Marc and I both look at each other and agree that maybe the NAV had it right.

Maybe there's a hidden "unwanted nudity" setting. But if there were I'm guessing one of y'all would've discoveredi it already. :)

Well, you can't mess with while you're moving, that's the big thing and mind the joystick. Mine fell off after 50k miles.

My wife Tee played with ours today but for some reason couldn't get it set up right. I haven't tried YET, myself ~ spent all day mowing the yard and getting the car ready for the Georgia Shindig!
