    Hey Guys,

First post. I'm in Los Angeles, but my brother is in the Vegas/Henderson area with a Magnum SRT8 that is stuck in park probabably due to that plastic part breaking. I'm wondering if somebody could help him out and R&R pinky with the billet part as he his not all that handy with the tools, and I can't get out there. I can't see replacing it with the factory shifter and having the problem again down the road. Compensation would be involved. I believe he is having the car towed home tonight.

Alternatively, if anybody could recommend a shop that would do that job that would be cool too. I would guess the Dealer wouldn't do it because it is a non-factory replacement part.

Send me a PM if you can help, or post if you have recommendations.

He also had dead dash lights, that though not critical, he may want to have fixed too.

    Well that really sucks.

Here is a How-To written by one of our resident dummy's. lol http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14837

If your brother really doesn't want to tackle this, the dealership will do the work. Doesn't matter if it isn't an OEM part, they just warranty the part.

Good luck to him. Oh, and welcome to the "C"...

Thanks. Yea, that other thread drew me here. No problem for me, but he's not into wrenching even at this level.

Good to hear the dealer may do it if they are handed the part.

I'll tell you what, my neighbor has a SRTD and I'm going to tip him to this so he can do it as preventative maintenance. Me... I'm still trying to figure out why my SS pushes all the power through the front tires.... :)

Don't have to be a dealership...any shop can handle. GL with the repair.
