So last week my driver's side door lock stopped working. Remote start would lock all of the doors except for the driver's. Power locks worked the same, they'd operate the other three doors without issue but my driver's lock was totally (electrically) inoperable. So for the last week I've had to "pretend" I was putting or getting something from the backseat and secretly reach up to unlock the front door. Lol, I've just been too busy to make a dealer appointment. So I go into my garage this morning and hit the remote start and the door was locked? Hit unlock and it unlocked. Get in, cycle the driver's door lock switch about 5 times without issue, worked every time. Pull out of the garage and all of my Sirius stations were gone, all reset to weather on 184 (default locations). Somewhat like you'd see if the battery was disconnected and re-connected. Am I correct in assuming the car not only performed it's own diagnostic BUT also corrected it by doing a full reboot? Just really weird. I've seen wacky electronic issues before, on my other cars, but I was the one that always had to do the battery reset trick. I've never had a car "fix" itself. :hypno:
My windows will randomly decide whether they are auto-up or not. I'll be ready to take it to the dealer and then it starts working again. Oh and if you're worried about Christine behavior, just remember the power seats still work even if the car is off without the key in the ignition. :hypno: Just keep her clean and well-fed and don't piss her off! Oh and maybe see about getting some wires checked in case its an electrical issue.
Yeah, that window thing happens alot, you have to reset it by holding the button a few seconds after the window hits the top and bottom limits a few times.
Kind of reminds me of my wife's SXT (We call this one "THE DEMON"). It was a Louisanna Flood car and needless to say we have had to have tons replaced on it.... (all kinds of lights have shown up on this one, however she is running good now. It an 06 SXT and just turned 25,000 miles.
