I drove out to SoCal and had this:

    put in this:

and replaced my PI2800 TC with another PI2800 TC. I was having an odd lock-up/flaring issue occasionally.

I was short on parts so I just used whatever I needed from this black 300C that was there in the next stall. Really helped and I got a LOT of parts:

I have a 850 mile drive tomorrow and will post up my impressions of this thing once I get some shifting miles on it...so far it is not quite as harsh on the downshifts as I approach a stop as compared to my stock transmission/BB valve body. It also doesn't shift as hard upshifting around town. I have yet to really get on it because: #1 my WOT A/F ratio is like 15:1 here at sea level and #2 I don't want to spend the night in jail in CA.

Cam, you are a damn fine dude and I'll drink another pitcher of beer in front of you any day bud. ;) (Best hot pastrami sandwich I EVER had!)

Well crud Ron. No WONDER I couldn't find exactly what I needed...I noticed the big GAPS in the motor harnesses, valvetrain, intake parts, interior seats...you know, all the GOOD parts. Now I know where they went...LOLOL

Let me know what you think of the SHR transmission. Mines holding strong, VERY strong now for over 3 months. I went with a 3,200 stall and really don't notice it until I want to notice it. Not sure of your power output, but I'm slamming the 2-3 shift now so hard I'm breaking traction. Can't even imagine what it's going to be like this fall. CONGRATS!

Nice drive home...if you consider 111 ambient temp degrees nice ;) I went up I-15 from CA to Salt Lake City and it was never below 100 until I got near Utah.

I finally put it on the floor somewhere across the Mojave, and had some weird shift and BOOM...car is idling and I'm coasting... I happened to be at an exit (what are the chances) and stopped, shut it off and restarted with everything back to normal.

I never reset the trans adaptives after the transmission and TC swap so I found my Predator, reset the trans adaptives, and was on my way again...

I nailed it on the ramp and the car performed flawlessly.

I have to say this changed the way the transmission shifted the rest of the way home. At first I thought I was imagining what I WANTED to happen was happening, but the car definitely shifted better and was waaaaay more consistent. No more limp mode :) (I am sure at least 2 people called me in during the rest of the drive home ;) )

I averaged 19.9 MPG and so far am totally pleased with the manners of the new transmission/TC.

    Almost home :)

It would have been Napoleon Dynamite-like to break down in that desert with 105 degree temps...
