Jeep rear end arrived at Wavetrac today. They'll give it a go to see if they can make a l/s/d unit to fit our stock center section. Gotta at least give it a try. We'll see what happens.
That would be very cool. I have a Wavetrac here waiting on some install parts. Tis a nice unit, very well built.
Glad to see you're stepping up to the plate. I thought about wavetrac myself, but since it is untested, just went for the proven 9" ARB air locker. You still have my attention!
hard not to go with bird in hand. This will take time and is speculative, and may just end up with a spare rear end... when its all over.
Discussed today and it requires a group buy of a dozen or so with about half down, 90-120 day lead time, they said they can do it to fit our stock axles. Won't get into price or anythinge else because I am not a vendor and would not be handling, just trying trying to get info out on product development for the jeeps to at least gauge interest. I think I have a vendor in mind who could handle the group buy licitly and sucessfully. Will try to do homework and see what's what.
Wavetrac has identifiied one of their local CA vendors, UNITRAX, to handle initial orders for selling this unit. Don't know if they're doing any forum group buys or anything. I've emailed a mod here to see what's what on that front. At least availability of the product is closer to becoming a reality. the guy at Unitrax emailed me today asking if anyone was interested in this^^^. Figured it might get some attention from the jeep owners.
