I am going to S/C my car next month. I can get a used RDP installed for about the same price as a new Procharger installed. Any thoughts on which would be better on a stock internals engine? Thanks, Bill

Procharger. The boost comes on more progressively. A twin screw puts more boost (and heat) in the motor at lower RPMS as compared to a centrifugal blower.

I am assuming that the RDP blower is the roots drive?

Both are decent units but act completely different. You will not go wrong with either as long as the tuning is good and you don't go too high on the boost.

Of course if you buy the twin screw, you'll have to spend more money to make sure all of that power down low actually gets to the ground...right Ron? :)

You wouldn't want to be on a little run at Spring Fest and sit there spinning the tires while a guy with a centrifugal blower walks away from you...right Ron?

    lol traction is for PUSS*&^s.

Considering I have had both on this car, I actually prefer the Twin Screw.

Dynosteve makes some killer power with his blowers on top of them being some of the nicest headunits on the market. the Procharger speaks for itself and has given many lxers reliable performance for years ..

I will say for similar money I would always go with the new unit so you wont have to deal with missing/used parts. Also you might have a warranty with a Procharger that may not be the case with the RDP.

Like others have shown/said, adding that twin screw might make you beef up your bottom end. gluck with your choice, I doubt you could go wrong with either performance wise.

get the new procharger. you'll like new. T/S's do work though, instapower just makes you need to drive better. If you can harness it, it rocks. Some twin screws even make silly top end power.....

Thanks for the input. One more question.

Looks like I'll be getting the Procharger. Since I already have a Predator I will be getting the tuner kit. What injectors will I need? Thanks again, Bill

the srt4 stage II injectors should do the ticket! also, what does the tuner kit include??? you will need one step cooler plugs, 2-bar map sensor (again, from an srt4), boost a pump, etc. Not sure what all is included in the procharger "tuner" kit. good choice though! you will be very happy!
