Does this means that hope for a 6 speed transplant into a HEMI is dead? That was a lot of this projects initial appeal.
Yes, that is correct. It would be typical to change gears 90% of the way there, too. I think it has plenty of appeal left.
Nice car...coming a long well. A. Are you going to use the Viper wirng harness and PCM (Does it even have a PCM)? B. You haven't suggested a 2 door conversion to him yet???? That would make it perfect. (It would be a good time now that you alreday have the roll bar in....lol.) ..
SP project Big Ed: Bumper to bumper cage almost completed. Hey everyone. Just about done with the cage from bumper to bumper for our Big Ed Project. Once we get our racing seats, we'll be able to finish door bars, floor bars, diag support and harness bar. Next up is fitting the viper motor again so we can start fabricating our motor mounts and tranny mounts. As you can see, we've stripped the car down to body and doors only and built a dolly to get it around our shop easily. Everything is rolling right along. Once we've completed motor/tranny mounts, the 2009 8.4L ACR Viper motor will be diassembled and fully built/stroked, track prepped. We're also going to be fabricating all of our own suspension components, while still using our Chubby Pro sway bars and endlinks. Here are some more pics.
