Well, I could have sworn that the sunroof was never like this.. but I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, when I stand at the driver side door, and look at the "back" of the sunroof where it touches the roof... I could have sworn that the glass was supposed to be flat and even with the top of the roof. Now when I look at it, it's sorta "sunken" in. When I hit the tilt feature, it goes up fine, but when I close the tilt, the glass goes all the way down like it was about to go back, then goes up to close, leaving a sunken in look from the top of the roof. I can get a video here in a bit for reference. Anyways, the reason why I'm asking about this is, warranty is ending here in December of this year, and yeah, while I still have some time left, I want to make sure I get every thing addressed as much as possible before it runs out. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and again, I'm sorry for the "stupid" concern or question, but I would really appreciate any help I get from you all. Thanks! Edit: Here's the video. Sorry for the crappy non focused close up's. http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l202/kaos85/?action=view¤t=78458a8e.flv Oh yeah, and the very last part is me pushing the glass up.. So I have no idea how this happened.
Thanks Ron, Yeah I think I'll have to go get it checked out. I just wish this sorta shit just didn't happen. At least it's nothing major. They better not dirty up my headliner either lol
You can try the uncalibrate/recalibrate procedure outlined in this TSB at home, then if that doesn't fit it you can take it in. http://www.wkjeeps.com/misc/LX/TSB/TSB_2302805a.pdf
Which is the "Run" position on the ignition. There is Off: ACC: On: Start. I was thinking it was "On".
Holy smokes, there's like 100 steps to do! I tried the first one of pulling the fuse (left key in ON position) and yanked the fuse, put it back in and hold the tilt button until it goes into tilt and let it go, and supposedly it's supposed fix it, but I still see the same results. But scrolling down, I see that there are other steps the dealer would take.. wondering if I should try those? IDK
Goto the knowledge base on lxforums. That's where I went to get mine fixed. Granted I found it AFTER I tried to do the manual adjustment first....
sit in ur car doors close, turn the key to ACC but dont start.hit the vent button, glass should tilt.hold the vent button for 10 seconds the let go.hit the -> button, glass should slide all the way back then hit the <- button, glass should come forward and the flush even with car.
