We had sustained 55 mph wind and gusts to 75 mph yesterday in SW Wyoming. I would rather be frozen...I hate wind. Needless to say, a few of my weaker shingles were trying to detach themselves so this morning I got to head up for the repair. Fun way to start the morning! Oh, was sprinkling on me too
I hear that Ron. I bet climates are similar there and here. My daughter actually bungee-corded a small tree we have to our BBQ grill and saved the thing...there may be hope for her yet! LOL, j/k
75 mph..... thats all??? lol you need to experience the feel, sound, sight, fury of sustained winds of 100+ mph like we have during hurricanes!!! in 2004 when florida got the crap kicked out of it during hurricane season, hurricane charley came right over my house......... needless to say we had a little repair work to do! blew my double front doors open like nothing and made a mess of the inside of my house!!! imagine taking a leaf blower to a doll house......kinda the same image of the inside of my house....yikes!!! glad you guys are ok and sustained little damage!
Pfft....You guys have it easy! We get that with snow mixed in @ temps dipping to -30F or colder with wind chill. Thats when you get whisky, mixed with hot tubs and a whole lot of snow=raisin sac for a long time! lmao!
just wait until the hurricanes are spraying 20w50 and lamp oil all over the place. that plains wind has got to be pretty severe.
and the sad part is, i know this will be a very active hurricane season........ i guess my trip to the gulf coast next weekend is just in time!! lol
LOL...I hear ya. I grew up in Minnesota where temps suck in the winter....but it doesn't hold a candle to this idiocy in Wyoming where the wind always blows and the temps hover at zero...chaos. This was in the middle of a couple-week period where it never got above zero at my plant. Ambient:
