Thats euros, actually I would have to drive to Germany, Do you suggest I take the car to my local garage an do a diagnostic test,I doubt they have Starscan, then I would have to go to the one dealer we have on the west coast of Norway an they charge as they please, I bough a connection for my front side maker lamp an it cost me 150 dollars an I had to put it together it just cam with wires an plastic
DiabloSport has a hand held for our whips. It's called the Predator or Trinity models. From there, tuners get certified through Diablo to get access to most of the parameters within our PCM's to do custom tunes (CMR). Much better than the flash, in my opinion. Not entirely sure how it works for you folks in Europe though? You should PM Steve from RDP, he could tell much more about European whips that I could.
Not sure... Without knowing anything about the flash and/or whether a starscan would do anything with a 3rd party flash I don't know. First off. That Kraftwerk site said they did flashes and/or piggyback chips. Which one do you have? When was it done? (and I think it unlikely that they actually did anything with or around the TCM). and Ron seems to be familiar with them? that it's a flash? Like Dave's modules? where you swap your PCM module? If it's a chip can you install/remove it easily? Could you go back to stock just to try things out? and then put it back the way it was? Did this shop that did the body work do any engine work on it? or just disconnect the battery. Any possibility they flashed the PCM? Does Diablo handle the export versions? If so, you might consider tossing the Kraftwerk and going with a Predator. haha, that didn't help a whole hell of a lot with your door locks did it?
HAHA no An I just got more confused as I read on, I have a graph showing my performance upgrade via the dyno tune, if anybody could explain in layman terms what I can do to boost my HP please explain in 123 steps, I cannot explain what Kraftwork did other then charge me a lot of money, do you think I lost the chip/flash they did? Sholud I take it to a dyno meter an check the HP? No they did no engine work in the body shop, the chip/flash was done a year ago
lol Yea, Dave has that effect on us ALL... :huglove: 1) get with Diablo and see if they support European PCM's. 2) If above is a go, remove the chip/flash 3) Get with one of our Supporting Vendors and purchase a Predator or Trinity 3) Get with one of our Supporting Vendors and have them do an email tune (if you have several bolt on mods or higher) or CMR tune. 4) If you have minimal mods (CAI, Cat Back), use the Diablo Canned Tunes provided in the Predator or Trinity.
Hi I probably have minimal mods I only did the Kraftwerk mod and Borla exhaust, Email me a tune up? For a CRD? I could take it to a dyno center an they can tell me if I have the HP Kraftwerk claims. If the HP is 290 BHP you think I can get more with a Predator?
Well anyway tomorrow I take it back to the garage an they will hook it up to their PC, an look if there are any errors, since I fixed my manually, key cycle an ETC manually, any suggestions to look at when they do hook it up, I doubt it wil be a Predator or Trinity.
http://www.kraftwerk-shop.cc/epages/62289059.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62289059/Products/K1 I think this does what your refering to?
lol Yea, I was wondering about the 290hp and 610 torque.. hahaha Well CRAP, that changes everything... Please disregard everything and anything about getting rid of your flash/Chip. Thought you had a gasoline motor... Diesel in a 300? WOW!
Hi Well after a few days the ETC light came on and the go home mode returned, I went through the sequence manually with the key to reset it, but this is not going to be a fix as stated by another reader. Before I take it to the stealership, maybe I can just buy a Predator or similar an do this myself or my favorite garage. Any thoughts, is there a good tread somewhere with a teach me about using analyzers?
I don't know if the DS Predator has any support for the diesels. Since it's OBDII it would work as a scanner for the generic OBDII codes, etc. ...but that's an expensive scanner. The Predator's main purpose is modifying the tune. But I think they're mainly focused on gas. Try posting in the Diablo Sport section here and get contact information on their site. www.diablosport.com But you should start all your posts with "I've got a DIESEL 300" No one has ever seen "CRD" and they just skip over it and assume you typed SRT wrong or something.
http://www.kraftwerk-shop.cc/epages/62289059.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectID=608713 I guess this is only for tuning?
Looks like it. They do say you can read and erase/reset error codes but it doesn't look like there is any scanner/monitor to watch or log the operating parameters while it's running. Basically I think it is just a flasher. They make a tune file for you (which apparently you have) and then with this thing you can put that to the car or put the stock tune to the car any time. Doesn't look like it has the capability to change parameters in the tune.
OK Thanks. So it looks like Stealership time, but I guess thats the solution, just what will they do? Hook up a Crysler scanner, then find the codes, can they recalibrate the ETC if needed or find out if its the sensor (is there a sensor)? I do not want them to update the PCM or TCM,I will loose my flash, I just want them to correct the ETC as this seems to be the issue. My garage used their scanner an cleared the ETC error code but I guess deleting the error is not a fix. I read on another forum from someone with this problem an his has turned into a nightmare, one of his suggestions was to remove all the connections to the PCM an clean them with CRD dry cleaner, seemed to work for a while but the problem came back on him, he suggested changing the PCM but thats 500 dollars state side, you can triple that price here ( I understand a sensor is only around 40 dollars). also if I replace it I would loose my Expensive flash tune. I read the dealer can calibrate the ETC with a scanner. Any inputs regarding going to the stealer an what to tell them.
If the dealership hooks up a starscan they will know that (at least) the pcm has been programmed. The starscan may not go past that. If the starscan does go past that then the dealer might refuse to go past that. They're not going to take the chance of programming anything on something custom since they could get stuck with the bill and liability after that if things go bad. Second thing. I think it's unlikely that Kraftwerks actually programs the TCM (ETC) itself. Much more likely that they change the ETC initialization parameters in the PCM -- the pcm puts the TCM into this "mode" or that "mode" and/or initializes it with values it sends to the TCM. What I would think most likely is that the Audiovox remote starter system/thingie is the source of your problems. It obviously sits between or interacts with a number of software modules in the PCM. Evidently it lost it's smarts or connections once already and I'd think it most likely that's the source of your problems. I also find it unlikely that anything went wrong with your Kraftwerks flash. Once it's flashed successfully nothing can change unless it's re-flashed or an attempt to re-flash fails. Who installed the Audiovox? Can you or they completely disconnect it? Maybe leave it physically in place but completely disconnect it electronically. Disconnect it from the CAN bus, disconnect it from any other modules it's tied into, disconnect the electronic key box that's wired in there somewhere, and finally disconnect power from that unit altogether. Most installation places do this sort of thing with some frequency since dealers often require it before dealing with any sort of electronic problems. That's what I would look into first.
Thanks But when I bought the remote start, 2 years ago, no one in NOrway knew or what was a remote start, not enven Chrysler here knew of the Mopar remote start, Chrysler here said its impossible to connect one (even though they nenver heard of one) so with the help of a now deceased friend (with this kind of electonic no-how) pre-wired with labels, so it would be a 123 setup, I gave it to my garage an they never could get it to work, I ttok it home installed it myself in 2 hours, an it worked ever since, its not connected to the keybox, never could read the keyfob so I took out the extra key guts I had an placed it in a sweet spot around the ignition, same thing the box was suppose to do. If I do. I have a brand new duplicate remote he sent me with it just as a favor. Should I disconnect the remote an put in the new remote, reprogram from scratch first? Its not my main ride, so I have another car, so I can do all the tinkering needed. Thanks for your time on this, by the way the other reader did not have a remote in his setup whos got this problem as of now. Thanks Thanks
Hi I'll give this one more chance, if the problem comes back I will remove the remote unit an replace it. Wait a few days of driving to see if thats the problem. If the light never come back without the remote, then we can assume it was the remote, then I will install the new replacement
remote started the car today an as was the case when I first installed it the brake abs an esp light stayed on , but after a couple remote starts the light go. Below is a letter I wrote to Krafwerk. Hi Just to mention something. I remember writing to you to say the car was feeling sluggish, weak unless I downshifted by hand. Well I had some issues with the car with out battery power for so long so I had some warning lights come on an activate as in the case of the ETC, well turned out my Audiovox remote start was tied into all this PCM(I think because the key fob did not work til I rebooted the remote start). Well now I get lots of power, when I press the accelerator the car takes off like a rocket, no longer the sluggish speed buildup after 100 km/hr, now when I press the accelerator at 120 it down shifts an takes off an I can feel the torque at low speed 20 km/hr What happen, its never been this responsive, it really feels like 290 HP now, now I want to get back with all these cars that use to leave me behind when they accelerated in front of me an me trying to press the accelerator through the floor board to catch up Do you think all this time my ETC has been uncalibrated? and all these reboots an manual calibration of the accelerated did something? Do you think the Chrysler stealer will recalibrate the ETC for me if he sees my modifications in his scanner Pierre
