My car impressed me from day one of pick up when i ordered it in mid 05 and picked up in Jan 06...it has the 2 stage ESP. Stock compared to now is a whole other couple of levels, but even in stock form, I had no problems lighting the tires up with ESP disabled.

Jim, after a reset of the adaptives, disable ESP, get it in auto stick 2nd gear...get RPM's up to about 3500 RPM, then stick it. Do this a several times in a row...then put it back in Drive...drive normal to say around 30-40 MPH and stick it...it should drop to 2nd, flash converter & take off like a bat outta hell.

Also, a Predator, catch can and a 180 stat will also "wake it up"...the catch can helps eliminate the chance of detonation from oil in the combustion chamber, without it, it will reduces timing via knock sensor output. The 180 stat and predator combo will keep the temps under 190 (where it pulls timing, and reduces power) and the 93 performance tune speaks for itself.
In stock form, your R/T shouldn't be able to keep up with the SRT...they are ~ 1 second different in the 1/4, which is huge.

Finally after 3 straigt days of rain... yesterday I went out and pulled fuse #11, let it sit for about 30 minutes... added fuel injector cleaner.

Then took it out and "drove it like I stole it"! After about a dozen or so WOT take offs, on the next one.... car went into "LIMP MODE" ~ What the heck! Coasted into a driveway... shut it off... let it sit a minute and started it back up! Pulled out... drove regular for a minute and then WOT, ran OK... a little better... would guess about 20% better than before. Still ~ NOT IMPRESSED!

Then tried a few WOT take offs ~ slight spin.... even with the ESP light on. (I held my ESP button in for about 10 seconds and the light shut itself back off ~ NO Chime!) Mine must be a very early version, I guess! Then I tried to hold the brakes and get the tires spinning... surely would NOT do this... Kept almost stalling..... Hmmmmm.

Bottom line is: It does run a little better!

Then I took out the R/T! Wow... what a difference ~ throttle respones is WAY better ~ NO Lag upon take off! However, I did notice some difference between power....NOT as much as expected! (My R/T has 53,xxx miles)

Maybe it's just gotten be broken in more... SRT turned 8,900 miles yesterday!

Here is what my SRT has:
    A LegMaker "HAMMER DESIGN" CAI
    A BT Catch can
Always and I mean Always used 93 Octane.

Again, Thanks everyone for all your help!
(Still have NOT figured out the Predator; keep getting the same error message) I know I'm a computer dummy so I haven't figured out how to download something from the website.

I'm honestly thinking when I get a chance to drive it more ~ it may get even better! However, we are do Four more days of rain starting tonight!

Limp mode...? You really need to get that Predator out and check for codes. You just plug it in and go to trouble shooting (I think). None of the calid stuff or anything like that. You can plug it into any car at any time and do that. or do the key dance and check for codes. Something ain't right.

Jim, see what cal. id you have, if it ends in AE, you need an update at the dealer. This may be the cause of the error message.

You might be having some injector trouble too. With a car that is driven that little, the same gas sits in the injector for long periods of time when its in storage. The detergents in the gas can only do so much then the injector gets "gummy" and often fires in odd patterns, sometimes too much and sometimes too little.

When my car was down from May to August last year, all of my injectors had some clogging. I suggest you run a can of SeaFoam through them (just dump the whole can in the gas tank) to clean them up.

be careful with that Seafoam .. I heard you can put too much in .. you might want to give him more instruction Adam ie: they might sell different size cans of it etc

It's not that "throttle calibration" with the key and pushing the pedal to the floor, etc., is it? 'Cause that's just an urban legend (at least on LXforums). You cannot calibrate our throttles to the pedal without a Starscan and nobody has ever verified their throttle was out of calibration in the first place. just checkin.
