Yup, Aussie Summernats. All the burnouts are like that. There is only one thing I have never understodd American burnout competitions. Why do they put water down and in some cases blocks on the front tires then just sit on one spot for 30 seconds or so? No offence to you guys of course, just curious. All they need is a brick on the as pedal and it'd be driver free lol. This guy below (Morg) lives 20 minutes from me and does some pretty decent skids, this was during a day time booze up at his pad........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_H7UQjFkT4 :rock:
Hell ya, I've seen that a few times myself...........KICKASS!! :worthy: Now who's got 10K I can have so I can make him look fucking silly. Agreed, most of'em suck ass. But not all of'm. ;
Absolutely bud, not all of them but a huge majority. I do know from my American friends and via You Tube that there are guys outside of the boring standstill comps who know how to eat tires lol!
Compared to yours and Hal's post, mine is childs play, but then again, I was over 900 miles from home. haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7dvYTf0OSU
THAT's the ticket brother!! Nice work man, love the SC whine bud. I hear yah on distance, where I live, in my city, I have to travel just over an hour over a pretty decent mountain/hill to get to open badlands, doesn't sound far but it's pretty twisty steep work lol, not exactly thrilled to come back with wires showing. Not just that but the hill blocks cellphone coverage so if something goes down, you're f#%ked ie: bring walking shoes and water, think Mad Max set up lol. I will go out there one day and grab some good burnout footage in The Batram to put into one of the new Batram vids but will have to take a support crew HAHAHA. Thanks for sharing, you need to turn up at a burnout contest, push the standstills on blocks to the side and say, this is how and do as you did above!
our boy Cam is the burnout king in SoCal. Hopefully Cam will share his video of him winning the prestigious award last year? But yea, I am with yea on showing the PU$$Y guys how to do a real burnout. hehehehe
LOL! I'm not sure it's the guys, just the burnout comp layout. Give those guys a Burnout Pit and let them loose!!!
AND you still had to limp that POS 60 miles to my shop JUST to rip-off Hal's PS pump. I have some better vids, but don't have the links on this puter. This one here did about 3K worth of damage, but fuck-it, it was worth every dime. BTW, keep in mind. I had already lost the PS pump and one tire going south before I left the first fog bank. After that I was pretty much at her mercy till I got'm to blow. :bye: http://lxforums.powertvonline.com/video_detail.php?mId=7125
Before After See the shiny around the wheel well lip...................that ain't the camera flash......LOL
Try this one then. The car is known as UCSMOKE and owned by a guy in Victoria Australia. Tuff as all hell car and not afraid to try and hurt it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVBMMJJKWiw&feature=related
out fukking standing!! Good to see a nice collection of real showmanship. You guys really know how to let'er rip!
Hey Carl, I got a couple more for ya. This one was right after doing the 6.1 swap with not much more that a comp 268 cam, full exhaust and BnG PCM. Still had the stock dif in her too. http://www.socallx.com/portals/0/images/cam.wmv This one was the following year. Big valve heads, BIG cam (totally a top end unit, you can hear it come on the cam HARD), Quaif dif, ported intake, same BnG. I had spent most all of the day auto crossing (matter of fact, I won that event and even giving rides to three full size adults every trip out) and didn't have much tire left. http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a346/drewsegal/Vids/?action=view¤t=March125.flv And this is a little different perspective on the other I already posted. Also the combo was back to stock valve heads, smaller cam, muchco megga intake set-up and a whole ton of other goodies. And Diablo tuning. http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...8-VID00030.flv I wish I had vid of some of the other ones I've done. But I just show up with extra tires and hope for the best
