Best deal I've ever seen on them. 255's (The ones I got) are $495 and the 275's are $545.

Do a search on Egay with this critera:

    (4) 20 Inch Tires 255 45 20 Toyo Proxes 4 Best Deal

East Coast Tires is the company and other members have had good luck with them.

Haha...yup good find eh? I bought the 275's all around for $525 from east coast tires and they had killer fast shipping. Tires look great too. Eastcoasttires on Ebay is THE place to get Toyo Proxes 4's.

Why not put the 245's on the front? they're the same overall diameter as the 275's. The 255's will give you a slightly taller front tire than rear.

Although the difference is small enough I doubt you can ever notice it.

Ever since the great thread on 3cf regarding the physics of contact patch size you posted I ditched the idea of getting the widest tires I could.

I just ordered 255's on all 4 corners so I could rotate them. The unfortunate thing about East Coast tires is you have to buy all 4 of the same size to get the great pricing.

Yes, you could order in different sizes at a bit more cash if you really wanted to. I spoke to the dude on the phone about this.

Yeah I know it wasn't too much to, but I just didn't think the cost was worth it for anything more than a look and not performance. I don't even think the 275's look that much wider than the 255's to justify it.

    Ahhhh.

Your first post confused me. I thought you DID buy the 275's for the rear and the 255's for the front.

    Makes more sense now.

You'll like those tires. I've been on them for almost a year. Great all around tire. Although I did still switch to Pirelli Scorpion snow/ice again for the winter.

I just paid 950 dollars, with installation, for a set of Nitto Invo Tires. I bought the 245/45R20 in front and 275/40R20 in the back. They look great, they are incredibly quiet in the highway and also handle the corners great. They also gave me a softer all around ride. I bought them because I was having problems with too much tire spin at the track, needles to say, this tires fixed that too. Check them out…

I went with the Nitto Invo because I was looking for this exact setup. I wanted the 245/45 in front and 275/40 in the back. I wanted either the Toyo Proxes 4 or the Nitto Invos, the tire place did not have the Proxes 4, so I ended up buying the Nitto Invos; I’m happy I did.

For the record, I've spoken dozens of times with the personnel out at the Toyo/Nitto plant.

The Toyo Proxes 4 and the Nitto INVO are made on the same line, and have the same specs. Toyo and Nitto are the same company. Well - Toyo owns the Nitto brand. Both company's reps will admit that the Nitto INVO comes with stickier tread compound than the Proxes 4.

I have the Toyo's, but only because the Nitto's weren't available yet the last time I had to replace my tires.

I believe the Nitto INVO has the same tread compound as the racier Toyo T1R.

My source was direct conversations with the factory.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but what does that have to do with anything? Way more money and for a completely different vehicle.

    What's your point?

Are the Proxes 4 for SRT8's a good price there?

    Cool!

Those Nitto INVO's had us interested for a (VERY) short time.

Do us a favor. Post your 60ft times at a drag strip, and your lap times at a major road course and we'll see if it was worth it.

Why don't you do it and get back to us! The Proxes and Invo's are fairly equal tires based on "expert" analysis. Refer to JMatt's explanation understanding.

I don't think Eastcoasttires carries the sizes for the Jeeps. I also don't think I've seen anyone beat the price that ECTires has for Proxes. The link may help the Jeepsters looking for the same tire as the ones for LX's are not a better deal on that site.
