First off Happy Easter to everybody! As for the magnum its sitting in a yard waiting for the adjusters to look at it. Last night we decided to take the kids out for a big dinner. We took two cars since I was still getting a kick out of the new exhaust on the magnum. So off we go, Yolanda and the girls in front and me and the boys following. We get into the line to get on the freeway at Paseo and Jefferson (notoriously bad for accidents like this) and I have just enough time to look behind me to see a neon coming in way too fast. I'm just glad I left enough room between me and Yolanda that I didn't get pushed into her. Not sure what speed they hit me at but the magnum doesn't look that bad. The Neon on the other hand is probably totaled. Everybody was fine. The boys were a little shook up but they were back to jumping around like ninjas before the police even got there. Oh yeah! no insurance either. Typical NM driver. Does anybody even have insurance anymore?? So here are a few pics, they towed the magnum because the exhaust was pushed into the suspension and creased. Better safe then sorry and since insurance is covering it figured what the hell. Here's Ty helping load the magnum on the flatbed. I wish I had pic of him working the switches. He got such a kick out of that. That neon be leakin!
Jesus, Mike. Sorry bout that brotha. Glad everyone was ok. Yea, That stretch of Paseo is notorious for rear ending people. Always some jackass speeding in the middle lane to get around 5 cars, then BAM!!! No surprise on the no insurance either.
Lucky it was just a Neon and not an Escalade or something heavier, glad you´re all ok, real bad hits from behind can get to your neck. By the looks of it the Magnum will shortly be on the road again! Fredrik
Holy crap! looking at the damage on the Magnum and then the DAMAGE on the neon you'd never think those two hit each other. Neon must have been full on the brakes with it's nose down on the pavement.
LOL, but the insurance doesn´t cover for a whiplash... You might get a few pennies but I´d rather be rearended by some uninsured Neon than a fully covered Escalade. Don´t know how it works here though, in Sweden you will always be covered if you are rearended, nomatter if the car running into you is insured or not! Fredrik
Well if they were insured then I wouldn't have to fork out the deductible. Now I'm out x-amount of dollars to cover my repairs. I could give a shit about medical, got really good insurance through work so that won't be a problem but now I gotta get it repaired and I really wanted to get a nice paint job. If the money works out I might try and get the whole thing painted but its gonna be tight.
I see your point. Then I would argue that our system is better, traffic insurance is mandatory, that would in this case cover you, if someone is still uninsured he get fined quite heavilly by the goverment just for having the car "in traffic" (without using it even) and not insured. Mind you, you would still be covered if you we´re to be rearended! Hate this for you! Fredrik
Thanks brother! Interesting how countries differ in such small ways. I think you got us on this one too.
D@mn neon drivers...:chair:  At least it doesn't look that bad, you should be back up and running in no time...look on the bright side at least it wasn't like an F-350 or something. :cry2:
Damm that sucks!! but looking at that neon yeah its totaled, i'll be looking for that neon in the Upull it yard.
