....to finally comply with Kalifornia laws..... I have been pulled over three times (twice in the last two weeks) and cited for no front plate and tinted windows. This last time, the dude was going the opposite direction and had to go out of his way to get me. Soooooo.....it's either pay 320 bucks everytime I get pulled over...or fix it, pay fifty bucks, and not get pulled over anymore. I hate this nazi state.....except for the weather.
Wow!! im glad im in NM my bumper looks like its gonna fall off and my trunk doesnt looked latched and i fit in with the rest of the drivers here!! LOL
that sucks, cali has the worst vehicle laws. I know I'll never live there just because I wouldn't be able to drive anywhere without getting pulled over.
yep....I ripped the tint off last year after a NYS Trooper went out of his way to ticket me for it rather than go after the tractor/trailer that blew past me at 85mph in the right lane...:what:
My dealer had already put the holes and lisc plate bracket on the jeep so I got personal plates which now I dont mind them being on the front. Wonder why so many Vette owners get away with it?
So....my car is officially been de-filed. poor poor car. It looks so sad and forlorn with no tint and a freakishly hideous plate on the fascia.... today was a sad day.....
I purchased two of these plates...one for the SRT 10 and one for the CTS V...neither should have a plate showing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQwyyX1SobE&feature=related My plan is to install on both vehicles. My first encounter (if it ever happens) with an LEO will be to say that I do have one and that I forgot to flip it up... Don't intend to lie and get in an argument, and if that doesn't work, I will just leave it flipped up, and flip it down during shows. I have not installed yet...because I want to be sure the mount is very solid...I don't know what kind of wind buffeting happens under the front facia of either vehicle.
Sucks but considering I see the whole gamut of LEOs here in Dublin, its easier to just look legal, even if its dorky looking. Even so, I still have them driving alongside my rear quarter, window rolled down, listening to my exhaust. Figure I'll be swapping the AirHammer and 180* t-stat and fan mod out in favor of a stock box or Mopar CAI when its time to get smogged in a year or two. *sigh*
