Hello all. I just found out about this site from SMosher from over on CenCalLX.com. It's good to find another site that caters to my passion. I've owned a dozen or so Dodges over the past couple of decades, most of them being turbo fours. Notable ones being an 87 and 89 Shelby CSX as well as a 92 Daytona IROC R/T. More recently, I owned an 05 SRT-4, which I modified with a Stage 3 setup and a slew of supporting mods. Since it was a front wheel drive, the best I could manage at the track on street tires was a 13.2 @ 116. Clearly the power was there, but not the traction. I swore off of FWD cars and sold it. The same day I bought an 87 Buick Grand National. I slowly modified that for about a year until a KIA minivan ran a light and brought the project to a screeching halt. I wallowed around in misery for a while with a Nissan Titan until we found a great deal on an '07 Jeep SRT8. That brings us up to about a month and a half ago... k:
Welcome to the "C", Mikey... Wow, you have had quite a stable. Very sad about the GN. Love that car. The Jeep is an AWD monster, I am sure you will absolutely love it. hehe Throw up some pix of the whip...
Yeah, I get that a lot... :shifty: Seriously, welcome aboard! And yeah, post up some pictures, they like those here. :worthy:
:welcome: to the C...I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but this forum REQUIRES pics of the ride to be posted. :bigwink:
Welcome to the Connection from Chandler AZ. I miss my GN. I had the 2nd 87 off the assembly line in 86. I worked for GM at that time and ordered it as my company car. After 6 months I was able to purchase it for $13,300 and had a MSRP of $18,900.00. Only kept it for 18 months, and sold it to pay for a kitchen remodel.
Nothing wrong with the Titan per se, I'm just not a truck guy. We test drove them all when we needed a truck and the Titan was the clear winner in the model year 2005 price range.
Welcome Mike, im new to the site too and your going to notice its really helpful...alot of good people on here good luck Dominic
