Here's a few pics of one of Legmaker's intakes on my car. Very nice quality. I get compliments on it all the time.
thanks rob!!! glad you like your set up!!! i am willing to bet you being the fastest of all stock block 6.1's is because of your intake.......... not all that nitrous you are spraying!!! lol
Those look awesome . Happy for you man and i hope you do well . And what i read a few pages back ( about you speaking to Scott and all of that ) eminates class , as opposed to the clown calling himself an originator . Good luck - Mike .
thanks mike!! yes, i have communicated with scott and came to an agreement for the use of the design concept and refering to is using the word "Hammer"...... thought it was the ethical thing to do...... i also communicated with mattrobertson on lxf about using the "frankentake" name. again, i will not take credit for a design that is not mine..... i am just offering some known design concepts in REAL carbon fiber..... the joy of being able to make these myself, i can offer things at prices most others can't touch!!
Chris that is the most AMAZING intake I've ever seen!!! I've wanted ONE of those since I first laid eyes on it!!!!! And I thought my K & N was cool ~ LOL ~
Do you make one with all carbon fiber with the exception of the TB elbow? What about for the Challenger 6.1 with a 85mm TB?
Awesome looking intake! Been looking for a unique solution for my Grand Cherokee SRT8 magazine project... I'll PM ya with the details soon! Dave MacKinnon
Dave, YOU just gotta get YOU one of these! I was fortunate enough to get the very FIRST ONE that Chris Made and I'm very proud of that! I get compliments about mine at EVERY show and cruise in!
Thanks Carolina Magnum.. I work at one magazine and still freelance for a few others.. I have always like doing things in 'builds' that are out of the norm. Every magazine lives on its advertising, but when the opportunity for real, authentic unfinanced editorial comes up, bringing new and different products into the spotlight seems, to me, like the way to go. And who really wants something on their car that everyone else has? I am just waiting on confirmation that I have some space in an issue before I bug ya Chris...
Chris, Doesn't SBS make a 6" filter that has a 6" to 4" velosity stack built in? I think it is S&B part# R0928, but I am scared this is one with a sealed black end and no inlet cone filter. Do they also have one with the inlet cone filter? ..
nathan - that part # is for a standard 6" ID flange. it does not neck down to a 4" connection. also, s&b filters almost always come with a built in "velocity" stack end to the filter. one of many reasons why i use these filters. what you are looking to do would require the addition of a 6-4 velocity stack. i think spectre makes something like this......
this is the piece i am talking about nathan.... spectre part number 9604 http://www.spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG.9604
Yes I am aware of that velocity stack reducer form Spectre. I had thought that S&B aso made a 6" filter with a 4" inlet connection. If I decide to get the Spectre velocity stac to use with my FIV (when I order it), how much more is it for you to supply a 6" filter instead of the 4" that you normally supply with the FIV? ..
