Me too, i bet a good lawyer could, but may cost you the 15k he was saving to begin with. I would probably have opted to deal with them all over again, and come to something we could both live with. If not, he's in for a long drawn out ordeal, but so is the dealership. At this point, the car probably couldn't be sold to anyone else because he seems to have a legit binding act of sale. Interesting to see how this turns out.

personally I would put up a fight, ultimately tell the lawyer "Hey look if you win you tag on your fees to the lawsuit otherwise you get jack"

at that point you are telling the dealership "Well you brought us to this point, it is not MY fault you backed out of it, you made your choices. I am willing to spend 29k for the car, if you want to fight it I will still get 29k and you will be out 10k on top of it because you are paying for my lawyer"

I wish the guy luck getting the car...I am pretty sure the salesman who forgot to set the reserve price, if he is still working there right now, he won't be for much longer. That or he will be working for free for a little while.

that whole "forgot" the reserve is bullshit, he may have forgot the reserve at the beginning, but I am sure if you post a car on eBay, you have to monitor it, check your hits, answer questions .. if this guy wasnt a complete dumb, he would have realized the reserve was off, closed the auction out and relisted.

that guy better get that Chally .. if not I would taste that dealerships reputation all over the local tv stations

    Typical douchebag dealer.

This will not end up good for the dealership.

This is already posted on forums across the country the dealership should just call big news conference take hitman's $29100.00 and turn the whole thing into good publicity which would probably be better in the long run IMO
