I am excited to announce my little guy arrived safe and sound. Preston George Wall was born on March 1, 2010 at 9:44p. He weighed 8 lb, 8 oz and was 21.5" long. Long story short, I went to the ER Saturday the 27th for what turned out to be gallstones, and since I was a couple days overdue already, they kept me and induced the following evening. After a day of induction without much "progress", the doctors decided a c-section was needed to safely deliver Preston. So, I had surgery Monday night and Preston was born at 9:44p. My recovery has been a bit longer than I expected since I wasn't planning on a c-section, but I am doing much better now after being home for a week. In a few weeks I'll have to have my gallbladder out, but then I should be all done with hospitals for a while! Preston is doing great. He is such a sweet baby, and a pleasure to have for sure. We are really blessed with him, and I love being a mom already. Here are a couple pics of Preston! Minutes after birth ... Up close at home... Smiling at home ... BTW, the shop is still physically closed for now, but our phones are being handled by Mikey and Sam (they are working from Mikey's home), and I am on email and processing all orders. (I'll be getting back into the swing of things on the forums as well.) We are spending a couple hours at the shop M, W, F to get orders shipped and will continue to do our best to provide what you all need while I balance time with my new baby. Yeah, most "fresh" babies aren't that darn cute!! Congratulations and try and take it easy on yourself. Being a mom is a real kick in the pants the first few months...and then they get mobile! :maddy:
