Sorry for the Dumb Question. :dumb:

    Wastegates and PCM controlled boost?

    Should you?

    Can you?

and What WgA should you use if use if you're going to?
    since the Stg2 don't exist.

U can find a s2 wga used and a fm is good for PCM boost since of the softer spring used

Yup the FM was by far the best. Car felt strong throughout the band, and very little if any part throttle boost problems.

So The FM... so any way that it should be adjusted and or install problems? Best place to get the FM Brand? I am a Noob and afraid to touch the turbo.

What I found to be the best way to set it up with a s1 or s0 ecu is to start at a zero preload. What I mean by that is when you install it you want to tighten the arm where it is just snugly holding the wastegate flap closed. You will probably end up tightening it a bit more but its a good start. The stock map can only read to 18.5 psi (1.5 bar IIRC) so you want to stay below that plus if you are s0 you will throw an overboost code.

For dialing it in what I would do is baby it for about 50 miles (unless you have a s1 since it is more forgiving on overboost) then try a few 3rd gear pulls starting at aroung 3k rpms (3rd gear because thats when all the boost restrictions are pulled) and see what you are spiking at. Adjust it till you are between 17.5 and 18 then reset the ECU again (should have been reset on install) and try it out should be right back and 18 and you are good to go. If you see it go above 19 lay off the throttle and adjust it down because the stock system is starting to run out of fuel and the turbo is exiting its efficiency range.

I would also suggest that you invest in a scan gauge and wideband to keep an eye on everything and make sure you are being safe. To bad you didn't decide to do this a few weeks ago I had a fm wga, wideband and scan gauge for sale. lol

I bought my FM from bwoody.

I have Stage 1 already. I was going to get a set of stage 2 Injectors as well as the WgA at the same time. That way the ECU can dump all the fuel it wants. And then get the wide band but for a $600 investment i think i might be getting wheels instead. She running 13's now so Im happy with that. (for now)

Without a fuel computer (like an SAFC) your car is going to run like shit with the s2 injectors. Just keep the boost reasonable and you will be fine.

Well Ill take the dive with my Tax return. I dont really care about increasing the boost as much as i care about how it hits. 16psi would be fine.

Then you don't need an SAFC or s2 injectors. Set the wga for 16 or 17 and be done with it. You will be fine on the AFR's. With mine I had it set to spike at 18 in 3rd. AFR's started at 11.4 and then dropped to 10 by redline.
