I tell you what...you don't get better service than Diablo. Regardless of the outcome of a new tune from Johan, that dude is awesome.

Wow, that's a lot of information in that post...

    1. Thanks Scott for the heads up, and for your help, class act bro.
    2. Yes, he is, he looked over my tune, made some adjustments, and sent me a new tune to try. His comment was..."Thats how i roll man :) Either way this tune file is much safer than what you had in there...."
    3. Holy SHIT...750/750 is ridiculous...i'm envious as hell. I can only imagine how that sounds and feels...I've driven 700 whp Cobras, and one pull is enough fun for weeks.
    4. Don't know yet...at work. It loaded into the tuner and car fine. Cranked it up and let it idle to 140 ECT...then had to go in. I did notice my LTFT was dead nuts on, versus the other tune was +1 bank one, and -6 bank 2.....so right off, it's better.

Did some testing on the way home, but traffic was a bit tight...initial signs point to good...looks like i'm getting ~ 21 degrees and no KR...i need to get some good runs so it learns, but it looks good.

I got a few runs in...much much better...I'm still getting about 4 degrees at the very top of 3rd...I need to log and see what's going on, but it looks, and feels better. Now i have something i can work with.

LOL, my buddy went to Missouri for a family wedding, he came across this horse out there and had to take a pic...I just thought it was funny it had a set of atomically correct nutz!

I did a dashhawk log, retard acts totally different than before, and is less over all...more spike then it tapers off toward the end of the run. I'll do some Diablo logging soon.

FWIW, here are two DH logs. Purple is KR, yellow is RPM. No change in AFR in the two tunes...both 12.4:1

RDP Tune max KR 9 degrees and remains
    [IMG]

Diablo revision max KR 6 degrees and continuous drop

Is the 6* on the shift?I'd pull a couple degrees of timing on the last powerband...or better yet send a log to Johan and let him do it.Looks like the KR comes in just before the shift and carries through the next gear.

Yes sir, Johan adjusted the knock sensors twice, first by .75 volts, then by another 10% (his words) and the knock retard ceased to exist. I gained 5mph in the qtr mile and ran a modest 11.90 @ 115 with a 1.75 60'. If I can get good track prep, and muster a 1.5ish 60', mid 11's are attainable. Have other stuff coming in soon, the modding never ends.

    Thanks for asking Al.

Dookie, what is normal knock retard? I have been watching my KR, total timing, bla bla bla on my new gauges. At first I though they were either not working or I, once again, somehow had knock sensors disabled.

Once I figured out I could watch actual voltages also, I could see that I was indeed getting a signal. After terrorizing the local antelope just out of town for a while I found I was getting .5 to 1.0 KR when my car shifted at WOT, but otherwise I read 0.0 . Is this normal? I was actually happy to see SOMETHING after my debacle a year ago.

I figured you're the go-to guy here since you've been screwing with this for a while...

lol...yea, that's totally normal, up to 2 degrees at shift is considered normal. Part of Torque Management. What's your max timing?

BTW, i finally got my Interceptor...slick little guy.

I had max timing up for a bit but didn't pay that close attention to it...if it was the same one you are talking about it was all over the place as I drove...high twenties with a dip up to the thirties occasionally? I will get back to you on that one...

I went with the dual Interceptor and kept my W/B gauge...I am having a hard time reading my Aeroforce gauges during the day...the red/black or black/red is hard to see even with the dimmer set to 3. And with my sunglasses on all I see are two rainbows where the gauge faces should be :)

You know when you make a bad choice, and you know the choice is bad before you do it, while you are doing it, and especially after you did it? Well I was just going to trim this little tab off of my A-pillar molding and it is sooooo much easier just running the Dremel with the molding in place rather than pulling it off again...

I can't remember exactly what I said but it got really quiet in the garage.

Here are my gauges. I am still on the fence about a three pod gauge set.

    Son of a biscuit eater...ouch!

I have a hard enough time with a dual pod, much less three.

Seeing the gauge during the day is tough. My WB Glowshift gauge is easily seen no problem. But the Interceptor is a bit tough. Mine is blue/black black/blue. If i cupped my hand over the top of the gauge to shield from the incoming light through the windshield, i could see it clear as day (haha a pun). And I remembered my WB gaouge came with a hood that I didn't install. So I put it on the Interceptor, WOW! HUGE difference, no problem seeing it now. Look into it.
