    Long block includes block, crank, rods, pistons, heads and cam.
    Short block includes block, crank, rods, pistons.

    really old chevy's use to have tall deck and short deck versions but thats a whole different motor

    Like a Chevy marine block has a higher deck?
    I first thought it was something like that.

    Yeah, I got the new Power Magazine today and it sported a nice article on Mopar muscle cars from the late 60´s and early 70´s, beautifull cars, but I wonder if I could own and run one...
    One is a bit spoilt by modern cars!

    To me, my favorite cars are the old ones with modern technology...suspension, brakes, electronic ignition, current gauges ect ect...If you can dream it, it can be built.

    Nor do i, but one day, i would really like to build one myself...Something to pass down to my kids, something of value they can say with pride, my Dad built that.

    By then there won´t be any gas around, and me, I would have driven its wheels off...:whistle:
    But on the other hand, they might have put me in jail long enough to see the kids have their license, its 18 in Sweden!
