Shipped my Jeep from California to Paramount Performance in Greenville SC. Bill dialed in my true awd driveline consisting of his Dana44 in the front and a Ford 8.8 in the rear both set up with Eaton TruTracs and 4:10 gears. Last week in Bradenton "LCHEVERE"/Lou shattered the Jeep N/A record by clicking off a 1.5-60' and running the 1/4 in 11.44@114. He accomplished this 3 times to back it up. Well figuring I would take advantage of my West Coast rig being out on the East Coast a "friendly" challenge has gone out and been accepted by Lou.... and extended to any other N/A 426 or 440 Jeep that wants to "step up". BuilderBill will be piloting my rig and reports will be flying over at the Cherokee site and here!! Looks like this will take place on Sunday at Fayetteville from 12:00-5pm. Should be interesting!! :bottom: .
will it be in true street trim or will it go on a diet. the latter might help you get to the 1.5 in addition to the gearing you've changed. Certainly lots of folks interested in results.
Should be very low to negative DA. That will be a treat running in East Coast conditions. Full street trim for mine to keep it interesting. Lou's is lightened up. You and me both my brother. .
SCREW the East/West BS. Meet in the middle where the track is neutral to all. Come UP to Albuquerque and run at my track. hehehe You will most certainly have an eye opener up here.
Steve would be like, WTF is wrong with my motor??? LOL Ron. I would STILL have to add fuel if I came to your track!
Good deal. Let us know how you do. Junior's jealous of your gearing so he's gone low rider :zorro: rims on us to math up a 4.10. I think there is a Vida Guerra sticker on his window now. .
Luis......12.16@112 1.67 60ft Bill/Sarge 11.8@114 1.65 60ft. Luis decided to go to the dealership this week and have all the fluids changed. He also had them change plugs. He went from Iridiums to STOCK Platniums gapped at .050. Looks like it's gonna hurt him.
Come on bubba.....no excuses Im running a 91 octane daily driver tune.....not my 109 race tune. My plugs have 10k and gapped at .50 as well. He has no interior and a 150lb driver on that run......its all good. .
No excuses Sarge.... just giving updates. My guess is Bill had a bad launch on the 2nd run. Luis is running 93 as well. He didn't run race gas either for his 11.44.
I had him add 3 degrees of timimg and it didnt like it. Its all good......I just wish i was there with some race gas and my tuner.
You know I've got mad respect for you and your Jeep Sarge. This running is awesome. I'm glued to my cell text messages and my laptop. HAHA!!
I can't imagine what it's like for you not being there!! That's ROUGH! I'd have a bottle of Jack next to me at least!
